I think Billy Connolly is probably my all time favourite. He's getting on and all these days though.

She was funny .. but there are funnier.

I love Carl Baron, recently saw the best Will Anderson show Ive ever seen of his Willegal .. funny af .. honestly I laughed my arse off for two hours straight .. there was literally no let up.

Yeah I like Billy Connolly .. he is awesome .. but as you say getting on now .. I am a fan of Danny Bhouy or however its spelled?

Another Scot and funny as anything.

Hence the question what nationalities do stand up best and why? Im definitely for the Scots and tbh wasnt actually a huge Aussie stand up fan .. cos some are just not

Theres an Irish dude I like whos funny .. but cant recall his name.

I love the funnies .. cos they are just awesome .. and you cant beat side splitting head laughing .. cos it is the best

Talking old stand up comedians .. one of my old faves was Bob Newhart .. funny af .. loved his tobaccy weed to Queen Lizzie sketch .. so funny.

I cant think of one Russian comedian .. link the if you can think of one ..

I can see theyd be automatically funny though cos with their accent they sound so serious and severe and if funny comes out of that it could sound hilarious

I think every nationality has something to offer. And some are fantastic and some are just bad. I'd say Americans have the largest collection of bad stand up comedians, but we probably also have the largest amount of comedians. My favorite comedians of all time frequently bounce, and nationality be damned, unless I don't speak the same language, because comic timing doesn't work so well in subtitles. Stand up is about the only thing I will not read.

I think my favorite comedian still working at the moment is Bo Burnham. Mainly because he shares my love of paradoxes - he's very smart and makes you think, but it frequently profane and stupid and juvenile. I love his songs and that he really plans out the show, even if I don't like every bit.
