Thank you!Cord Hurn wrote:IrrationalSanity wrote:Because he trusted/liked/believed Geraden?
Well done, Sanity! For that is the right answer!!!
Your question!
Of course, in your Artagel thread, it looks like you were about to post the answer yourself I think it is at the end of that next scene that this comes up...)
Next post will have my question (which I've had in reserve for quite some time... )

You are right about that, Sanity, as it is in the end of that scene with Artagel and Lebbick (that I'm in a slow process of posting in a series of quotes). It may take awhile before I get to the quote, but it should show up in that thread sooner or later.
As to your question, I'm guessing Terisa saw Stead as mildly offended.

Sorry, that isn't it.Avatar wrote:Uh, sheepish, uh, for some reason, I want to say something like "a little boy who couldn't get what he wanted."
Dunno if that's even in the ballpark though, but it's what my brain threw up...

Folks, You don't have to be someone you're not - just give me a good impression...

That is Sooo close, I was almost inclined to give it to you. Then I went to grab the actual quote for comparison and realized that it really won't do. What you describe is a passive state - I'm looking for something more active.Cord Hurn wrote:...He looked like a cross between Geraden and Master Eremis?
Again, the impression SRD conveys has nuances and connotations that are relevant to the scene and story...

That's the one I was looking for! I would interpret the phrase less as "only" partial success and more like "with more success than might be expected."Cord Hurn wrote:IrrationalSanity wrote:How does Terisa describe Stead's demeanor after he wakes her up?
One of her thoughts at about that time in the story was that Stead looked like Geraden trying to do an imitation of Master Eremis, with only partial success.
In any case, your question...
