Mild rain, off and on. It's pretty much a good thing. We could always use more rain in the desert. The only down side is, it looks like there's another spot on my roof that's leaking. At times, it seems like a never-ending struggle. Image

That sucks Cord .. sounds like its time for a sealant run on the roof 😉 Had to do that when we had a sky light leak .. but you can buy so many great DIY patch it ups .. these days.

Glad youre getting the rain your state needs.

Today is a perfect and sunny 27C

Summer is here :D

Had a mixed bag so far. 1st day was perfect, 2nd was crap, today is windy, later in the week heats up...

The first day of summer: from my back yard

(I'm hoping the Dropbox link works...)

And the 2nd: from the kitchen window

The dropbox pictures worked for me, Stevie, as I can see the forested mountain with the tower atop it, and seeing the view from further away from your rooftop. The area looks nice enough that I'm thinking it would be a nice hike.

Haha finally worked for me too

It is a gorgeous view .. I love Hobart and a lot of southern Tassie is just stunning. I had to work in Devonport a few times, though also pretty .. just not as nice as more southerly locations.

Cord there are sooo many native areas in Australia, that are by and large in pristine condition .. that make awesome hiking and camping.

And such awesome and unique environmental diversity and climates criss cross the country .. not unlike the US in some ways. Its s phenomenal place .. from tropics of northern Australia, the Great Barrier Reef, then large swaths of variegated deserts of inland Australia, underground township of Coober Pedy, to the great Flinders Ranges .. one of my fave hiking and camping locations, to the pristine beauty of the south west coasts .. well the entire southern coastline .. lol 😂 actually the entire Australian coastline is stunning. To the temperate east coast and south east coast locations. The Snowy Mountains and all the Easter mountain highlands are gorgeous.. A favourite camping rock climbing location is in the Grampians .. such awesome country.

I guess the same can be said for all countries .. but it is a lucky country, to be sure ;)

Nice views.

Low 30's forecast for the next few days, then dropping to the mid 20's and hopefully some rain.

Nice description! There are heaps of tracks and trails on the mountain. You could spend days walking around. They even have a "Point to Pinnacle" run/walk which goes from the beach to the top of the mountain. I've never done it - sounds absolutely crazy to me!

Today will be a sunny 23C - my perfect day!

Meh, and I managed to get sunburnt today watching the triathlon. Seriously you only have to be out in the sun for 10 minutes and you start roasting!

Sheesh, last night was boiling. Should start dropping from today though, and lots of rain forecast for the weekend.

Oooh I dont miss Adelaide

Long, hot dry summers ewww if there werent the beach 10 mins away my Brit self would have died.

I can remember one summer being hugely pregnant laying on the wood floor dying from heat .. with the kids squirting me with water bottles. Hahaha

We are in a temperate climate now .. summers rarely ever top 38C. And that may be a day or two somewhat between Dec and end Feb.

Not like Adelaide.. hot weather can start as early as Nov .. even some Octobers have been too warm .. right through to early April.

I was married in March in Adelaide.. and it was the hottest day on record for March

No I like it hot if Im going to the beach .. otherwise summer can simmer the fuck down lol 😂

Had a bit of rain over the weekend, but nothing like we were promised.

Still relatively mild at least.
