just out of curiosity, where does everyone go for online social interaction?
I just have facebook and the watch, and also I play WoW and have social interaction there, but I was curious to know if others on the watch have other forums and social media they visit on the regular. (I do not have twitter or Instagram or snapchat or any of that stuff.)

I know there are a lot of reddit users amongst the wow'ers and Creator has recently gotten pretty involved in LinkedIn.

so yeah...where do y'all hang out besides the watch? :D

EDIT: so, as you can see downthread, HLT provided a bunch of links to places he visits! that's exactly what I was hoping for, links to sites I might normally not come across! much appreciated! :D

Nowhere these days. :D I was pretty active on G+ for a while 'cause of work stuff, and met some good people there, but that's closing down (of course) so now it's just the Watch. I have a Twitter account too, but I basically never use it.

These are my go to sites:

https://www.ar15.com/forums/general/-/5/
I love this site. I mainly stay in the General forum because I'm not a military or gun or hunting guy but the commenting is usually great and topics begin as soon as news breaks.

https://twitter.com/ @dsmithhlt
I just retweet things I find funny or interesting.

Don't post much there these but I like to check it out often.
I think it's dying though.
The fiction forum is pretty good:

This forum reminds me a lot of KW. Everyone there is nice and helpful and we all try to help each other out when it comes to projects and ideas.

Facebook.

Created the Kevinswatch Facebook account which doesn't get much traffic unless I post a question.
I created Home Recording Reviews Facebook group for home music recording musicians to post examples of their projects for peer review. We have well over 1k members so that takes up a lot of my Facebook time.

I have a Twitter account and created one for Kevinswatch but I generally just read interesting tweets and post infrequently.

Primarily Facebook and lurking around here. I'm an occasional Twitter poster but more often I use that to find breaking news. On Instagram, I'm a more occasional user/poster than Twitter.

My use of Google+ and Slack revolves around playing Ingress. I haven't really played that for a couple of years now and after changing phones I lost my Slack group sign in so that's a ghost app.

Snapchat I have but I don't really use it.

Agreed some of those links look awesome.

Im a member of a worldwide police forum but probably wont interest many Watch patrons. We share tales from the job.

Ive found that most people dont have the stomach for the grizzly .. and some stuff is absolutely grizzly.

I recall a lunch and someone asked me about work ... and I shared an experience and stopped sharing as I watched them turning a strange shade of green.

And Id chosen a tame example lol πŸ˜‚πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ Wachya gonna do πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

um... <raises hand slowly> um.... i'm interested.

i'm a true crime television addict. I listen to true crime podcasts. (Michael Connelly's https://www.murderbookpodcast.com/ is my most recent)

i'm into procedurals in a big way. I probably should've been a cop but the idea didn't occur to me until I was way past appropriate age (plus, I was a big stoner back in the day and big stoners don't think about becoming cops! lol!!!)
so...yeah...i'm interested alright. :D

Facebook. Twitter, but I like stuff way more than I post there. I've never joined Instagram or Snapchat.

I joined Pinterest (and most of the others) because of the writing thing, but I never really figured Pinterest out. I've got some boards up for my books, but as a business owner I'm leery about posting random photos because I'm worried about getting slapped with a copyright violation. 8O And I never figured out how to send a thing to someone else or respond when someone sends a thing to me or... It is a puzzlement.

I'm ticked about G+ mainly because I used their plug-in for comments on my Blogger blog. Now that G+ is going away, they've discontinued the plug-in, which annoys me because the Blogger comment thing is a piece of crap. :(

Luci Ill send you some stuff.

I have a stash of police journals that feature current and past cases from wo to go .. in sum ... include pics of scenes, bodies, body parts, part autopsy reports etc.

If you got the stomach .. some details are indeed grizzly and perculation grizzly.

I dont know if I told you but I found post Mortems fascinating.. and would attend mine, plus for others who didnt want to.

Not the prying and cracking open of the ribcages or the removal of the skull cap and peeling down the faces .. but AFTER that.... and what the forensics can tell about that entire person, their life, immediate to death and their body. That part is fascinating. But for some, not so much.

pm me what specifically your interested in .. and Ill send you some stuff, if you like.

will do bub, thanks! :D

and Sky...

i'm not going to say I could stomach an autopsy right off the bat. I did work in a hospital for nearly 4 years (hematology/oncology) as a nursing assistant and I did see some pretty gory stuff but...not sure I could handle a full on post mortem. crime scene pics I could handle I think but i'm not chomping at the bit to look at them just for the sake of looking at them.
i'm interested in reading cases, in the Los Angeles PD they call them Murder Books. it's the case file, where they collect all the work that the detectives do, lab reports, crime scene photos, the chronology of the investigation, etc. I assume other PDs also do this, I just only know about the LAPD because of Michael Connelly and his novels and his pod cast. that's more what i'm interested in looking at and reading.
