Independence Day was interesting. Beorn is visiting from Florida, and while we had a quiet day planned, I didn't expect it to be as quiet as it turned out. Unfortunately, Independence Day decided to be the day I had my first all out cold since I was diagnosed with the leukemia two years ago. Temperature fluctuated between 101.4 F and 102.3 F, according to our temporal scanner. My paperwork says to not take any fever reducing medications without first talking to one of the medical providers.
Being a holiday, I decided to tough it out, rather than call the attending physician. I did email my hematologist, though and heard back from her at 5:00 in the morning today. I now know that acetaminophen is OK, as long as the fever is higher than 101.0. Otherwise, she wants it to burn itself out.
So, yesterday was me staying in bed, and Beorn keeping himself occupied. Currently I'm running a low grade fever of 100.2 F or so, so I'm also taking it easy today. I'm hoping I'm on the mend, though, and that Beorn and I will be able to do something tomorrow.

Oh, yes.
SD did push one acetaminophen on me yesterday, before I found my paperwork saying not to take any until speaking with a medical provider. It didn't seem to have much affect, as the temperature remained pretty high throughout the day yesterday. But, at least my hematologist verified doing so did no harm.

No harm?
Faint praise at best. Fever spikes were blunted, she felt somewhat better for the following hours, and the recovery continued into the next day, even without further dosing.
I see her; she resists medication, but this helped her condition.

Great day .. feeling fab .. sorry youre not feeling brilliant yet Av
Today my baby boy arrived home from Texas. The company booked his home bound tickets through Canada which was weird. Anyway last minute changes meant he arrived a day later than expected.
Soooo lovely to have him home. The weather is an awful welcome home. We had brunch with my baby girl and my eldest son comes home on Tuesday for his bday. Plus bringing the family and I cant wait to see my granbabies ... miss them soooo much.
We just watched aquaman together and hes gone to bed now and its only 9.30pm .. looong flights.
So yeah feeling stoked.
Sorry for those battling illness and hope you all are feeling heaps better after a weekends recuperation.

Good thats exactly what you should do when youre proper poorly. Whatever the hell you want. Everything is twice the effort when your sick anyhow.
The sun was out all day and hardly any wind today .. took my baby out to lunch for his birthday (which was actually last month but he was thousands of kms away).
Today I been thinking about how weird things seem .. it could be that such things are being spot lighted.
