OHMYGOD I HATE THAT DIACRITICS ERROR.

so...

i'm stoked because I got a new radio/cd player in my car.

I had typed a very long and somewhat humorously entertaining post regarding said new car radio/cd player but

the DAMNED DIACRITICS ERROR wiped it.

so.

just suffice it to say i'm stoked.

Just click "Back" in your browser and the post should be there to at least copy and paste out.

If you're just typing the whole thing and not pasting from somewhere else, but you still get the error, click the "reply" button before pasting in your rescued post, instead of using the quick-reply box.

Ah, gotcha. Initials of the company or whatever? (Just wondered if it was some industry jargon or something. :D )

Fulfillment center? (I'm in a similar line of work.)

I am visiting a close friend in LA.
She was my roommate for two years.
I am getting to know her sweet 4-year-old daughter.
(wow, is it just me, or do I sound like lorin ^up there?)
The other day I was reading "The Nightingale and the Rose" to her.
I'm sort of, 'how do I get to be allowed to do this? This is wonderful."

But my visit is tinged with sadness. Her family is under incredible pressure at this moment in time.
"People without hope not only don't write novels, but what is more to the point, they don't read them.
They don't take long looks at anything, because they lack the courage.
The way to despair is to refuse to have any kind of experience, and the novel, of course, is a way to have experience."
-Flannery O'Connor

"In spite of much that militates against quietness there are people who still read books. They are the people who keep me going."
-Elisabeth Elliot, Preface, "A Chance to Die: The Life and Legacy of Amy Carmichael"

Damn, rough one yesterday. Return of rolling blackouts as crumbling power utility tries to keep stuff running. Also February, meh. :D

It's great that you're feeling the really valuable moments (those unexpected gems of time for sharing), even when under the stress of helping friends through a tense time, Linna. I'm with Avatar, and hope things turn out well for them!

I feel disapointed today on seeing the 'most ever users online' at the bottom of Kevinswatch Index page: 381 on Wed Jan 15, 2020 7:16am

Image

...as my post for that day was in Vespers at 6:58am.

Been lurking the Mike Oldfield fansite recently, and just missed out on that one as well :P

That's at least the third time in recent history that the 'most users ever online' has randomly updated. I think the Insequents are having parties we're not invited to.

Oh, we're crawling with Insequents here. (Hahaha...Insequents are crawlers, get it? ;) )

Yeah, sadly those are not human visitors.

Leaving my job today of over 7 years. Feelings are mixed. I start my new job on Monday. Which means I might be absent for a bit, but I'll try to make it in when I can.
