Joaquin Phoenix went on some rant about how we inseminate cows, then rip the screaming calves away from their moms so that we can have milk in our coffee.
I had extra cream in my coffee this morning in celebration of that. What he doesnt know is that I will never forgive or forget that he killed Maximus Decimus Meridius. Commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions, loyal servant to the true Emperor, Marcus Arelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife.

I have not seen Joker, for one simple reason:
I'm not really interested in a movie about a guy that nobody likes who can't get a girlfriend who goes on a murderous rampage, no matter how well the murderous son of Marcus Aurelius portrays him.

Caught bits of it while the GF was watching, his performance (what I saw of it) was very good.
Interesting to hear him go on a vegan rant in his acceptance speech. Of course he has a point, industrial dairy conditions can be pretty horrific, and the way we keep cows in milk is indeed to continuously inseminate them and take away the calves immediately.
Also interesting is that demand for plant-based milks is steadily rising, while demand for dairy milk is actually falling, for the first time in forever. At least one big industrial milk producer went out of business in the US last year IIRC.
And now they're scrambling to try and generate a market in Asia, traditionally a low milk-demand region for the obvious reason that the majority of the population (about 1/3rd of the world population) lacks the enzyme required to digest milk in adulthood.
Because, they get weaned y'know.
