How Do You Feel Today? v4

I didn’t find a thread about covid here. The main reason I logged in again was I hoped everyone was well.
Unfortunately for me, I didn’t do so well with covid. I have had what they call long covid since March. It’s a bit of hell, don’t recommend it. Seven months ago and still have shortness of breath, bad fatigue, cough, confusion, etc etc etc. I give this disease a two star rating. There’s no treatment yet and they’re not even sure why a small percentage longer long covid.

That sounds awful, Ananda. I'm so sorry.
I'm annoyed right now because I got a jury summons for next month. Being in a courtroom (even at limited capacity) is a bit out of my comfort zone right now. I could postpone it for up to six months, but it doesn't really seem like things will be much better by then. If anything, it could be worse. Seems better to just get it over with, but ugh.

Sorry to hear Ananda. On the plus side, at least you're recovering. (Sorry, the Covid thread is in the 'Tank, where angels fear to tread. )
I dunno Sorus, never do today what you can put off until tomorrow. And 6 months is a long time. I'd probably be postponing it if it was me...
Me, I'm not feeling too bad. Probably been my quietest week since lock-down started...Now I'm starting to worry about what I must have forgotten to do...

(or maybe it should be "Anaaaaaanda!")
It's so good to see you, but sad to hear the news you bear!
Yuk, bodily weakness, especially where very little is known about the timeline for healing...
..just yuck.
You get all the hugs!

This makes me think maybe someone* should create one of them there Covid threads over here in Gen Disc.
Coz people's personal experiences in this time is a totaaaaallly different topic from the Tank's focus.
* could be me!

I'd like to give you a hug, Ananda. Good to see you here.
What if we call the thread, Love in the Time of COVID? Make it clear this is about bromanship.

I am pissed. I find out on FB that my unit closing come January. On effing FB. So I have no idea how we will be dispersed to other units. If my being out to mid November will hurt my odds of going to a better unit. Son of a bitch. 20 effing years in the system and I find out out Facebook.

That's really lousy.
The company I work for just did a big layoff, mostly at the top (see why I won't let them promote me?) - I'm not directly affected (yet), but I think the worst is yet to come.
Knowledge is good, but there isn't much I can do with it right now. Most places I would consider going to as a lateral move are in a hiring freeze, or in worse shape than my current position.
What a mess.

Thanks for the well wishes. What I’d really like to know is if people here are ok. That was my main motive in returning. There were some people here I really like and I know the demographics here are a bit more in the at risk category age-wise Are people ok?

I am really upset about this possible forced move at work.
A friend in the field force says the Trusty Camp will stay open because of the fields, hogs andvhen house. If so I am assuming
The kitchen stays open and I sm senior in the kitchen. So I don't
Know what that means for me. The camp can hold at maximum
Capacity 321 inmates. I'm csllingbthe temporary kitchen captain
In the morning. If she had no answers I will call HR and then the
Assistant warden. My first choice would be stay at the unit. Second
Would be my llf unit. The the two other units near my old unit.
Any prayers & well wishes are desperately needed. I only have four
More years til retirement. I want to continue on an easy unit.

Prayers sent upwards to the Boss and well wishes in barrow loads shipped through the ether toward you and yours as requested Sarge. Have no fear - all will be well, all shall be well and all manner of things shall be well. Do what you can and if there is nothing you can do, do nothing. All will be well.
