Oh, bother.I'm Murrin wrote:Not really. The person the GP had referred me to was from something called Social Prescribing and all they ended up doing was giving me the phone numbers for some local mental health charities. I assume the unit only exists to direct people away from the NHS to try and save the government money...

Not well.
A co-worker killed himself on property yesterday. He was the farm manager. He drove over by the railroad tracks. I've known him 10 years now. The boss who found him I've known 20 years now. He was my first building captain when I started.
In the last year my first c/o who worked directly under was found murdered on the beach. The sergeant who helped me get hired on 20 years ago died of cancer. The wife of one of my co-workers of the last 10 years died of covid. (She worked with us.) A police officer who worked with Julie for over a decade died of covid. He was one of my favorite officers. One of the field officers at my unit died of cancer.
Julie's cousin died in California. Her nephew died here in Texas.
I'm sorry I've not been correct here. I'll be in on occasion. My apologies.
I'm tired of this.

That’s completely understandable Null .. sounds like a helluva 2021.
I feel ya - had a colleague blow his own brains out in the patrol base
it shook us all to the core. Lost two of my course mates who were both sooo young. All had families they left behind.
Take all the time you need - we are here for you if you need an ear.

And technically more true, because we have the Chrons etc.Skyweir wrote:and that is no less true for Watchers...

Sorry to hear Sarge. This kind of thing puts a strain on everybody.
Me, meh, tooling along I guess. Been a bit slack about visiting lately I know. No excuses, just worn out and lacking motivation.
Still, as the wise man said, it could always be worse. Hope y'all are doing as well as can be, for whatever it's worth.
