Thank gods the week is nearly over. Had some much appreciated rain for a good 6 or 7 hours last night, but it makes the cats difficult which means I sleep poorly.
End is in sight on a big dev project I've been sorta managing, should deploy next Wednesday, after which my life should be significantly easier for the rest of the year.
(Relatively speaking anyway, since our own 2 new data products are in the process of launching as well and I'm more involved there than I want to be, but I feel less obligation when it's internal stuff compared to client stuff.
)
Need to book some time off, but realistically probably won't be until mid-December.

The issue of the day is that I have in my calendar my biannual dentist visit. However, they normally call the day before to confirm but they haven’t done so.
The bigger medical appointment is coming up on Monday morning. The over 50 checkup that requires fasting and purging the day before. That one I know I got right as they called me the other day to go over prep.

Hope you’re feeling better today Iolanthe.Iolanthe wrote:Bruised! Yesterday I fell down the last four stairs and landed next to the front door. I banged my head and skinned my left elbow. The lump on my head has mainly gone but is still sore when touched. That's the second lump this week. The other day I bent down to pick up one of the dog's toys and banged my head on the piano getting up again. I really must be more careful. I certainly don't want another brain bleed!
Otherwise what can I say? It's raining again.

Today I feel a little weary but in love with the animals I’m minding this week. ♥♥♥♥
The horse is such a character ~ I just adore her!
We spend a lot of the daylight hours together and she’s a real snuggler … though she’s not a fan of having her eyes swabbed ~ but with a little gentle coaxing she grins and bears it.
A few livestock but they tend themselves ~ the weather has been and continues to be attricious! Someone came along and swapped Oz out for Britain 🇬🇧 lol 😂 it’s cold & wet & very green atm.

In the morning and early afternoon the farm across the road let’s their horses, about 8 - 10 of them roam in the pasture directly across from me. There’s a magnificent grey one that stands out. Our dog loves watching them from the fence line nearest them.
It’s going o be a windy day Saturday. Up to 50 mph (80 kph). That should knock down whatever leaves are remaining, mainly on the old white oak and the young walnut tree. The old walnut lost its leaves during the rains we had last weekend.

Feeling much better today, thanks for the kind words.
I had a big shock last night. I had to contact the daughter in law of my cousin Pam who I messaged via the FB page of said cousin's brother. When she replied she told me that Pam and her husband, Tony, both died last year!! And no-one told us. I've known Pam all my life. She was 14 years older than me. She dandled me on her knee when I was very small (she was a nursery nurse when I first remember knowing her) and I was one of her bridesmaids. She was a lovely, kind, caring woman and my sister and I loved her very much. I can't believe that no-one told us. Her brother has my email and home address and probably my phone number as well. As did Pam and Tony. I would have thought that one of her sons would have found our details and let us know. I knew that Pam had symptoms of dementia as she didn't really know who we were when we last visited, but I'm still in shock.

I am playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order!

I'm so sorry for your loss, Io.
started my annual gig with the state legislature. One quick hour of picking up work-from-home equipment and then they put me right to work, proofreading bills.
I'm getting used to the 6:30am alarm, I guess, but it still sucks.
