Well, I'm back. :D

Finally went live on Wednesday with a big client project that's been a pain in my ass for the last 6 months (and only 6 weeks behind schedule (they changed spec half-way through naturally)) so of course yesterday was managing Day 1 issues.

Everything actually looking good now though, not too many teething troubles.

Still a couple of big internal projects to finalise, but apart from that should be fairly easy for the rest of the year. (Except for Black Friday, but most of that is not my problem.)

First snow of the year. Just enough to be annoying.

We’ve had some pre-summer beautiful weather, but the last couple of days have been cold and wet - a brief return to winter. Such is our climate.

You can always hope for a windy day to blow it into someone else’s yard.

Congratulations, Sarge! I saw the pic of Julie with him.

I heard last week that our number four grandchild is on the way.

On Tuesday, Tattoos by KJ and I got together and did shading on my dragon and phoenix mastectomy tattoos. Pretty much immediately after, Krystin had a radio interview about P.ink Greater Seattle. The interview starts at about 30 minutes in and has a lot of good information for people not familiar with the organization.
...and my tattoo is very briefly mentioned.

If your on Facebook, you can listen to a recorded stream of it at:

If you're on Facebook or Twitter, and would like to see the progress on my tattoos so far, feel free to visit either or both of these links. Same photos on both, but be aware they are photos of my bare reconstructed breasts.

That's a bit more sharing than I expected, but I'm glad you're doing well.

First off, nice set!

The art is also great. Love the flow of the Phoenix.

The first artist did the treble clef backwards. It didn't register with me when he showed me the transfer pressing on my skin before starting the permanent inking because I was looking in a mirror. It wasn't until I got home and SD showed me a photo he took that it sunk in that the treble clef was backwards.

However, the main reason this is happening is because my current artist, the State Coordinator for P.Ink, is unhappy with the chest plate tattoo in general. It's beautiful work, but it doesn't do what the point of P.Ink is: cover my mastectomy scars. The chest plate doesn't cover any of the scars, whereas this new design covers most of them, including the stretch marks on the skin taken from my belly to do the reconstruction. When she offered to do what the organization has originally offered, I jumped at the chance.

I'm already much happier with this artwork, and it hasn't been colored yet.

I had wondered if the picture was just backwards, or you took it in a mirror. Anyway, I'm looking forward to sing it after the colors have been added!

My next session is probably a few months away. What was done needs to heal for a few weeks, and my artist is planning on going to warmer clines for the holidays through most likely Easter. But, I'll definitely share after the next session happens.

That implies I would actually read the post. That's just silly.
