What fantasy/science fiction book are you reading RIGHT NOW?

A place for anything *not* Donaldson.

Book 1 audiobook is 24h in length! It’s going to take a while. And I currently have 15h per month listening time without having to pay extra.

Still, it’s a journey!

And that's the shortest book in the series!

Cord Hurn wrote: Because you have access to both the Harper Hall trilogy and the first three published books about the dragonriders, I recommend reading them in this order:
Dragonflight
Dragonquest
Dragonsong
Dragonsinger
Dragondrums
The White Dragon
I’m going to slightly disagree here and suggest reading The White Dragon before DragonDrums. The two novels overlap each other in some of the timeline, but I believe The White Dragon begins earlier than DragonDrums, and (admittedly it’s been awhile since I’ve read Pern) I think you would be a bit confused about Jaxom’s and Piemur’s friendship if you read DragonDrums first.

But, because of the overlap, they’re fairly interchangeable in order.

Sorry, but I must agree to disagree, here. Because the bulk of The White Dragon story takes place after the events of Dragondrums (even though its beginning chapter is before the Dragondrums events), I maintain that Dragondrums should be read first.

it's been forever, but I read a book! The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, by V.E. Schwab. Never read Schwab. Realty enjoyed it.
France, 1714: in a moment of desperation, a young woman makes a Faustian bargain to live forever—and is cursed to be forgotten by everyone she meets.

Thus begins the extraordinary life of Addie LaRue, and a dazzling adventure that will play out across centuries and continents, across history and art, as a young woman learns how far she will go to leave her mark on the world.
Anyone she meets literally forgets her the moment she leaves the room. When she hits it off with someone, when they wake up the next morning, they have no idea who this young lady in their bed is.

a) Since last posting, I've read the 7 Saga of Seven Suns books, as well as the sequel trilogy, the Saga of Shadows. Think I will probably re-read the 10 Expanse books next, since I appear to be in the mood foor space opera.

b)

My favourites are the "Crystal Singer" series, and the "Rowan" (Tower & Hive) series.
