LCD Motion-blur

Post by Worm of Despite »

My monitor (an LCD screen) has been having some problems. I'll be playing a first-person shooter, and when I look around with the mouse, objects tend to blur or leave behind little "artifacts" of themselves. I'm assuming this is the monitor's fault and not the video card. The video card is installed, patched up, etc. Am I going to have to buy a new monitor? Seems such a high price to pay for crisp image. One shouldn't have to go through all that, so I'm wondering if there's anyway to fix the issues I'm having with this current monitor. Thanks.

I strongly disagree.

I'm trying to figure out which piece of Darth's advice was more helpful: the "it's your computer" or the "heh". *scratches chin in contemplation* Hmmm . . .

It's due to the refresh rate of the pixels on the LCD monitor. If they are low, there is no 'ghosting'. It tends to happen alot with shooters.

So I should turn them down? *scratches head, confused*

You can't do anything about it; the lcd pixels are set at that rate.
