The Ramones were the original punk band, and unlike most others they kept going for some 25 years. They created the sound that became the standard definition of punk - loud, fast, stripped-down power-chord rock with catchy tunes.
Some other cool songs by them, apart from the ones already mentioned (and this is just off the top of my head):
53rd & 3rd
Glad to See You Go
Suzy Is a Headbanger
Carbona Not Glue
Babysitter
We're a Happy Family
Why Is It Always This Way?
I Want You Around
Don't Come Close
I'm Against It
Questioningly
Bad Brain
All the Way
Psycho Therapy
Every Time I Eat Vegetables It Makes Me Think of You
Wart Hog
Bonzo Goes to Bitburg
Crummy Stuff
Censorshit
Scattergun
As for albums, I'd particularly recommend their first four:
The Ramones, The Ramones Leave Home, Rocket to Russia and Road to Ruin - virtually every song on each of these is terrific (and those few that aren't are over very quickly
). The later albums are more uneven, but every one of them has at least one classic song on it. (IMO, the late 80's albums, Halfway to sanity and Brain drain are their weakest, but even they have some good songs. Things picked up again in the 90's and their last three studio albums were all pretty good.)
