With his upcoming book tour Stateside, is there any discussions or plans for regional "Elohims" or other localized gatherings of fans?
From what I've heard of publicity tours, authors are usually so tired they barely know what city they're in, much less want to explore it. But it would be friendly to ask.

The more promising plan is for KW'ers to gather in the city of his nearest stop so they can attend his talk together and do something fun together. We just need to know where he will be...

Pleasure to have you here Wildwood. Always nice to have another Forestal appreciator. I've rewarded your choice of handle.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Welcome new members!

Wildwood, as previously mentioned, you may want to avoid certain parts of the Watch due to spoilers - however I do invite you to the dissecting the Land forum. Each book is discussed thoroughly by chapter (we're in WGW now) and it would be great to hear the insight of a first-time reader.

Baradakas wrote:Hail Hyrim!!! I would suggest that you state the option for him to take advantage of your knowledge in the Gradual Int. SRD is a nice fella, and I'm sure he hasnt been EVERYWHERE..... If he comes to Omaha, I'll be sure to mention a few nice restaraunts... ;)
Ah, Baradakas...I'd hoped to get an answer from someone who knows him without going through the formal gradual interview...but, well, the lurking device has been disengaged. So much for the old adage about "removing all doubt..." (for my fellow Latinist, Ave, Variol-son! Vir sapit qui pauca loquitur, in the original.)

My guess is that he's not interested or will be too tired, but it is too rare an opportunity to miss out on with mere embarassment as the worst potential thing that can happen.

Since the Book Tour dates got posted, I decided there was no reason to wait.

I actually reside in Laramie, Wyoming--are there any Watchers in my neck of the Westron Mountains? (My guess is that the closest will be Denver).

Thanks for all the welcomes. "Favorite" lord? I'm honored.

Welcome Hyrim and Wildwood! Hail!
Halfway down the stairs Is the stair where I sit. There isn't any other stair quite like it. I'm not at the bottom, I'm not at the top; So this is the stair where I always stop.

:D Ah, Thank you one and all! I can't say how much finding this place means to me. I've even received one private message welcoming me (thank you sir darth)...my experience with past boards was an environment where you had to work your way up to be recognized. this place is quite a find! Thank you all, again
