"Mostly muffins sir."- My answer in response to the question posed by the officer, "Son, do you have anything on you I should know about?"

His response: "Holy $&!^. He's not kidding! Look at all these muffins!"

This is torture! Another month?
I suppose the time will fly by if I can just put it out of my mind.
I know. Good luck. :D

Ah yeah~! 8)

I saw on e-bay where someone was selling a hardcover 1st ed copy but think it may be a little misleading, as it seems to really be stating it's more of a reserve than something that'll be shipped immediately or I'd have bid on it~!

Hang in there everyone~!

Although your copy is not a first edition hardback, is it? The released book will have had changes made from what you have read, Darth.

What? A few words? Donaldson is very unlikely to change the plot now, is he? :?

No plot changes, I'm sure. Just last minute edits (that have been driving him nuts). Like in the US, the plural of Lego is Legos. But in the UK they must be made from moose parts, because there the plural of Lego is Lego. :-)
And then the ravens pecked out his eyes.

It's getting so close now that I can't see spending a lot extra for the ARC, but I'd seriously thought about it last month and can't blame anyone who did get it~!

I also have the added excuse of school going on, so I'll be patient... those numerous days of waiting~! :D

Now here's a funny thing - I've had an ARC for over a week now - and I just can't read it. All sorts of things going through my mind - will Ilike it? will I be able to put it down? what am I going to do for the next 2 and a half years waiting for the next one?
I think I'm treating it more like some kind of object to be worshipped rather than just another book (which of course it isn't) - I think I'll probably continue to bow down before it for another day or so before I plunge in. Wierd or what...,

If I wasn't really busy with school and work, I'd probably be tempted to read the entire chronicles again before hitting the new book, but as it is, I'd surely dive right in~!

By your moniker, I take it you're also into the Chronicles of Amber and Zelazny? 8)

I know - I wanted to read the previous six (7 if you include the little one) books before Runes, but to tell you the truth I know them inside out anyway- For years I never even imagined there would be a 3rd (and final) Chronicles so I was just content to read them over and over again - probably something like 10 times in 20 years.

I am a big fan of RZ, I'm very happy at the moment because I've just completed my Amber collection with all of the Merlin books in First editions (a lot of Christmas and Birthday presents from the wife)
