Welcome to the Watch, Dilthey of the Netherlands and saera of Sweden!

So now we have 5 members from Sweden: saera, kastenessen, Ermingard, Ninquelote and Ylva Kresh. Apologies if I've missed anyone.

Don't know of anyone else from the Netherlands besides Dilthey. Anyway, it's very cool to have a growing international membership. 8)

And welcome to Turante, too, wherever you are! :)

My real name is Charlie, and I am from Lancaster, NY which is a suburb about 2-1/2 leagues east of Buffalo. I am a 35 year old Scorpio, and am a Journeyman Machinist working as a CNC machinist. I have a wife and son (Louis, 3 years old) and still love to suprise / shock people with irratic, un-characteristic behavior. Sarcastic as hell. I love expressing my opinion to anyone who is unlucky enough to be within ear-shot, but try not to. (I know how annoying that can be!)

Presently, my avatar is me in the 5th grade all those years ago. (notice the "Mork" suspenders, the 1980 winter Olympics pin on one side)

My main source of inspiration and relaxation throughout my life has been music. I love depressing, melencholy songs (they make me feel good inside), kind of a "goth" but without the whole bondage thing (a glittering darkness). This is the effect The Silmarilion has had on me.

Can't wait for Runes to come out.

Grimm.

Hello..

Post by Avytaya »

Hello,
My name is Tanya Avery, I'm 29 and holding. I'm from Houston, Texas. An ex-boyfriend introduced me to the Chrons about 12 years ago (best thing to come out of that relationship-opps did I say that out loud???) I don't see him around here, so I guess it is safe.
I'm a Virgo and yes what they say about us is true.
I have a degree in Journalism and a Masters degree in Human Resources (but don't call me HR scum). I currently work an as Executive Assistant for a small company.
I'm married to a wonderful man whose name is Thomas. (go figure!) We are expecting our first child on Feb. 22, 05. We just found out that the baby is a boy. Yes, my stomach is getting bigger every day. One question-if I was having a girl, should I name her Linden? Guess I should wait and see how Runes turns out.
I love fantasy literature some favorites besides Donaldson include Tolkein (of course), George R.R. Martin (can't wait for Feast of Crows), Juliet Marilier, and a host of others.
I love to write, but too afriad to publish.
And I'm really, really excited about the Third Chrons!

Welcome, Avytaya.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Greetings, Avytaya! It would be pretty neat to have a Linden Avery as your daughter. Of course, I'm not sure how she would feel about that once she grows up and realizes she's an emotionally messed up character in a book. ;)

Hail fellow Land dwellers. Well met. My name is Steve, a fellow of indeterminate age, who spends his time reading lots of fantasy, as well as writing it, working at selling books at my job (Journey Of the Broke), and spending some quality time with my two kids.

It is reat to have stumbled onto Kevin's Watch and I look forward to conversing with you all more in the very near future.

Well, I suppose I could chime in. First off, though, KoriksGhost, I see your location says Minnesota. Which part? I live in St. Cloud, so right in the middle.

Well, let's see. My name is James McConnell, I'm 27, married with a beautiful 6 year old daughter named Rhiannon. I work as an overnight Technical Call Center Specialist. Basically tech support, though I do very little. I get to sit here and if something goes wrong, I call a network admin. I just got the job a couple of weeks ago, and I'm super excited about it. Finally a foot in the door of the career I want to be in, which is computers. Mostly programming.

I found this site because of Runes Of The Earth. I was on another forum, a musician's forum oddly enough, when someone posted about the new Chronicles series to be released. This got me wanting to go back and re-read the Chronicles, and I figured I'd hunt down a website for SRD. Found it, found the forum, here I am!

I'm also a musician of sorts, I enjoy simply writing acoustic type material. I won't post a link to my songs online, don't want it to be construed as spam of some kind. But if you all want, I'd be more than happy to post the link.

Whew, that was a tad long winded, was it not? Ah well, back to "Runes"...

No Worries, post the link in the "Links" forum under "Scatterlings". Maybe under "My World"? Up to you, but I'm sure many will be happy to check it out.
