Nynaeve and Egwene

Post by Revan »

I've only read most of the forst one... about 60 to 70 pages to the end... but am I the only one that gets really annoyed at these two? :?

If anyone ever treated me the way they treat people, I'd tell them to shove it. I wouldn't let anyone bully me like the way they do sometimes... And Nynaeve is so paranoid... having an attitude all the time, cow... she annoys me so much... i hope she dies soon.

Egwene isn't so bad but Nynaeve is highly annoying. But if you think she's bad, wait till you meet Elaine. :|

I really liked Egwene for a while...not in the first book too much, but later...and then, even later, her head gets too big again and she starts to bug me. Nynaeve I could never really like too much...though eventually she does start showing emotions apart from anger or frustration, so she becomes a little more tolerable *grin*
I've always liked Elayne, actually...

Min's just about the only tolerable woman in the whole book. Avienda's alright, I suppose.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

I actually don't have any problems with Egwene. (Might have something to do with her being my favorite WoT character n all.)
And Nyn, while very bitchy, is pretty cool... Hell, I'd probably be as bitchy as well, if the society I live in was as tolerating as Randland's seems to be. The women are mostly insane with yibber-yibber-yibber and they get away with it. I'm amazed. *shakes head* :P

I take it that's a spoiler...

Well, I'm on the second book and Nynaeve is only more annoying, bossy as before... and so nosy. I could never stand to be treated the way she treats people, she's insufferable.

Truth be told, I never liked Nynaeve much, and I only liked Egwene during the first few books... then they both started getting their heads too big and started acting all alike (anybody noticed how almost all female characters in WoT behave the same way - i.e. sniff whenever they feel slighted, or roll their eyes and go "Men!"? I have yet to meet a single woman IRL who does either of those things, even when she's terribly annoyed...)

I like Cadsuane *grin* she wouldn't give a man the satisfaction of knowing he's getting to her.

I love Faile...she's probably my favorite of all the female characters. *grin* I love it when Perrin finds out who she really is (kinda feel sorry for him, though ;) )

Nynaeve was one of my favourites for a while until the 'braid tugging' descriptions started turning up every second page.

I might not mind if the person holding the leash is a very attractive girl.
