Who killed...? *book 5 spoiler*

Post by Revan »

*Who killled Asmodean?*

hmmm... I haven't finished book ten yet... but I want to know... does anyone know who killed him? I actually liked Asmodean. I mean he wasn't actually that evil... And I was kinda sad that he died. :(

I wonder who did it... I mean it's been 5 books since he was killed. And we still have no answer. Which is upsetting... and annoying... I want to know! :-x

I liked the guy. :P! heh, he wasn't as bad as the other Chosen... In fact, in comparison to some of them, he was good. 8O

It's a big mystery. RJ has said in interviews that it can be worked out...but not by me, alas.

Well, it wasn't an interview, it was a throwaway comment. But have a look in here for it (and a lot of other interesting stuff):

He's always insisted that the killer can be worked out purely from information in book 5 and earlier. He also claims more clues are in later books. He states that it should be "readily apparent to even the most casual reader", but refuses to actually confirm anything.

Yeah, from all of his talk, I don't think anyone has acutally figured it out. Which just proves further the fact that Robert Jordan is on crack.

Yeah, Asmodean was cool. Which is annoying, because it's the only character the RJ has actually and totally "killed", heh. (Yes, I know I use the word "only" in a relative sense.)

heh, yeah, he wasn't actually that bad a guy, if you compare him with the other Chosen.

BTW, that link from Gart is to a really excellent Wot FAQ. Lot of people put a lot of effort into it, but I suggest waiting till you've read all 10 books before reading that. Some interesting theories, and plenty of stuff I never picked up on.

Pretty much every theory that I've seen is really sort of convoluted. It might be obvious to the author, but it surely isn't to anyone else.

So what does that say about the author...?

Jay, don't you have a shirt that says "I killed Asmodean"? Because that's my best guess right now. I liked Asmodean, too. I was actually kinda shocked when he died.

It says that he wrote the book.

It's nothing much, Darth. I just have a t-shirt that says simply "I killed Asmodean".
