New guy
Hail and howdy. There are those who call me...Jason. I'm 35, married with a 10 month old croyal, and live on the beach in San Diego, SoCal's version of Seareach (without all the large, forehead-less corpses). I work as an HR specialist for a large defense contractor. I first read Covenant back in junior high, and have read the series several times since. SRD changed my life, for had I not read him, I never would have used the word "bifurcated". I believe that it's wrong to compare SRD and Tolkien, as they have two entirely different and equally compelling stories to tell. I believe that joy is in the ears that hear, unless you're listening to Ashlee Simpson. In my spare time, I surf, rock climb, watch and occasionally muster up the courage to play rugby, and write (shameless plug for my blog: www.petcobra.blogspot.com). If asked, people who know me will generally tell you that I'm a good-natured wiseass who shows the occasional glimpse of thoughtfulness, and people who don't will generally respond with a blank stare. Looking forward to discussing all things SRD.

Hello Warmark Jay and Crescent Hawk. Welcome to the Watch. I am rarely here of late unfortunately, but no doubt will catch you online some point soon. I hope.
The reality is in this head. Mine. I'm the projector at the planetarium, all the closed little universe visible in the circle of that stage is coming out of my mouth, eyes, and sometimes other orifices also.

It's good to chat with well-read folks; since my college days I've met only one person who's read the Chronicles (in a bitter twist, I fell madly in love with her and she dumped me to go back to the boyfriend she failed to tell me she had in the first place - but that was years ago, and don't be sad, I've since married a wonderful girl whose only fault seems to be that she hasn't read any SRD). So all of you are indeed well-met!
