We can advertise the anthology on the site, here, and maybe people who post on other forums can spread the word. We'll sell some copies!! And it's going to look good!
Gee, I was thinking more along the lines of, "Myste and Joy's Unbelievably Awesome Display of Editing and Extraordinarily High Production Values."kevinswatch wrote:The title should be "Jay's Amasingly Awesome Short Story and Some Other Stuff That Some Other People Wrote"-jay

Halfway down the stairs Is the stair where I sit. There isn't any other stair quite like it. I'm not at the bottom, I'm not at the top; So this is the stair where I always stop.

I agree. I think, in all the excitement and debate, it's been forgotten that I was giving both sides of the issue as objectively as I could - I don't necessarily agree with all or any of the points I madeVagrant Wit wrote:That is the way I feel, as well.Avatar wrote:Well said Tom. That's the way I feel about it too. Keep it amongst ourselves, and if nobody ever buys it, that doesn't matter at all. That's not the reason it was decided to do it in the first place.aTOMiC wrote:I don't think any of us believed we'd launch our writing careers with the Anthology...I think that the concept of the Anthology escaping beyond the boundaries of our discussion group and attracting outside attention should have no bearing or impact on why we are creating the book in the first place. I'm cool with it being "by us for us". If it goes beyond that its just gravy.
Hope you're all having fun!

It's all a matter of perspective. When you don't like something, or something bothers you, change your perspective, and whatever it was is automatically different.
Works for me.

P.S: My Grass is pretty Green too.

Hi! I'm new to the watch, and a writer. I would love to submit something, but I noticed the deadline is fast approaching, and I haven't written anything that could qualify as a "short story" in a long time. If I come up with any good ideas in the next few days, I'll write something and submit it. This anthology is a great idea! How many submissions do you have so far?

And now 11.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”
