This is stupid, but it made me laugh.......so here it is.

A drunken friend of mine suggested an amalgamation of Star Wars and The Dukes of Hazzard.Picture this:Bo and Luke Skywalker,Princess Daisy Organa,Jessiewan Kenobi,Darth Coltrane,Jabba the Hogg,Cooter Solo,Admiral Enis.....etc etc etc.Imagine Bo and Luke zipping around the galaxy in an X-wing with a big rebel flag on it,being chased by a bumbling squad of tie fighters that keep crashing into each other. :lol:Any other funny, ironic or entertaining amalgamations that you can think of?

Star Trek and Dallas:

Jock Kirk
J. R. McCoy
Bobby Spock
Sue Ellen Uhura
Pamela Chapel
Ray Sulu

These are the voyages of the starship Southfork. J. R. schemes for a monopoly on dilithium crystals in the Alpha quadrant, while trying to undermine his Vulcan half-brother out of his share. Tensions come to a boil at the Warp Barons Ball on Rigel IV, which ends in a brawl in the ship's combination tachyon deflector-swimming pool.

"I find this blasphemous and disrespectful."

And I assume you're joking. I was a fan of Dallas and I'm STILL a fan of Star Trek, but I can find parodies like this amusing.

You apparently are not enamored with Galaxy Quest, I take it? :?:

j/k means just kidding. But now that you mention it, I did not like Galaxy Quest. Perhaps I take my Star Trek/Star Wars a bit too seriously?

Although I liked GQ on the whole, (for what it was anyway), and SpaceBalls, I, all too often, am guilty of the same thing, and get, while not really offended, at least mildly annoyed by poor rip-offs of both SW and ST.

Woe betide anybody who makes fun of either in my presence. ;)

I know some of the on-line slang, but j/k is a new one for me. I'll have to be on the lookout for that one.

No harm done. I don't know if j/k is part of the accepted online slang or not, I use it sometimes instead of a wink emoticon.
