Writing
Stuttering against the
Blank Whiteness,
Black-Ink Thoughts
Drip down my Arm.
The pen, Needle-like
in it’s Intensity,
Draining my words in an
Inverted Parody of
Intravenous Nutrition.
Feeding the Ichor of
my thoughts to
the ever-hungry page
as though they would last
Forever.
An unending cycle
of Desire
or Need.

Re: Writing
Very good indeed, the imagery of the stuttering as you search for your words.Avatar wrote:Writing

I agree with Loremaster.
Stunning.

you're more advanced than a cockroach,
have you ever tried explaining yourself
to one of them?

i've had this with actors before, on the set,
where they get upset about the [size of my]
trailer, and i'm always like...take my trailer,
cause... i'm from Kentucky
and that's not what we brag about.

Re: Writing
I really like how you wrap up the poem. You are drawn to the paper which is always hungry, always craving more of your thought food. The paper, however, is never satisfied so you must continually feed it.Avatar wrote:Writing

Your thoughts are inked on paper, but they won't necessarily last forever. A writer's thoughts aren't static, they change. So back to the paper to alter or add to that which was written.
I like that it is and unending cycle. Possibly unending for both the writer and the ravenous paper?
Nice job!

I like that interp. It seems pretty obvious now that you mention it. Of course, judging by your post count (and quality of those posts), it's unlikely that you'll run out of thoughts anytime soonAvatar wrote:

I love the notion that even though my interpretation of a poem might differ from the author's, I'm still right! Poetry rocks.
Now if I can only convince my boss that my job is like a poem...
