In the name of their ancient pride and humiliation, they had made commitments with no possible outcome except bereavement.
He knew only that they had never striven to reject the boundaries of themselves.

Lost and Found
*Thinks she must be such a geek* I started reading The first Chronicals in 1982 and have re-read the first and second at least a dozen times through as well as having read Kuricks Mission repeatedly.
We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and
all are different colors but they all have to learn to live in the same box.

This community is family. All are welcome. It's always nice to have a new crayon in the box.

Excerpt from Animal Songs Never Written
"Hey, dad," croaked the vulture, "what are you eating?"
"Carrion, my wayward son."
"Will there be pieces when you are done?"

Dennisrwood, Duchess of malfi,
thanks for the welcome.
It's nice to know that so many people are enjoying the work and the world of S.R. Donaldson. I've been a big fan of his writing since I discovered the First trilogy, when was it? 15, 16 years ago? Then came his Second trilogy. And now his Last Chronicles.
Am I the only one wishing that his last work had for title " the Third Chronicles" ? It would have been nice to dream that more could be coming...
SRD, thanks for all the wonderful moments I had, and will have, discovering and rediscovering this beautiful Land of yours and all the people living in it.
