Like I said, that was the book that got me started on Gemmel. Also prefer it to Dark Prince, although together, they make a great story. Lion though, I found less "fantasy"-like. Enjoyed his intro (or afterword, I'm not sure) where he touches on the actual historical figure.

Once again, I promise to do something and fail to come through. No revision of this story seems to be forthcoming, alas. I finally decided to do some writing last night, but got caught up in something new-ish, and expansion of another short piece I'd been mulling over for a couple of months now. Don't expect to see it soon, though - it took me an hour and a half to write two paragraphs.
