I've taken a break from Halo following the unexpected dissolution of my clan. I'm using the opportunity to get to grips with the PS2 ethernet adaptor. It's a real pig to set up, but once you've got your configuration sorted it's plain sailing. Unfortunately I can only play Colin McRae at the moment due to a compatibility problem with my memory card and Burnout 3 and the fact that nobody is playing Splinter Cell 2 anymore. :(

A. Because proper tea is theft.

Finished Metal Gear Solid 3. Was a bit easier than I'd expected, maybe I should have played on hard instead of normal...

I'm pretty sure that Metal Gear Solid 2 was more difficult, although I enjoyed this one more.

still Rome :total war only 10 more states to go!!
But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.

I never did finish my Rome game. Perhaps once I've finished Halo.

Just got into Resident Evil 4. Wow. Beautiful game. I'm actually jumping at some points in the game, in surprise. That's never happened to me before.

I found Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast hidden under a pile of junk, and have since re-installed it and am having hella fun on the multi-player servers. Lightsaber duels are the pwn!

I seem to play a bit of all the games mentioned here. I have a couple of friends from school and we play a bit of something different each time we meet up. Was starcraft most recently.

On the last mission of the Terran campaign in the StarCraft game. Can't wait to get to Zerg and give them a drive around the park!

Playing GTA Vice City again for some reason. (Haven't got San Andreas yet). Always fun anyway.

Suddenly gone on an "Old Games" kick.

Populous II, Some of the original Sierra games, (some of which I now see were re-released as VGA versions) and the like.

The graphics are lousy by todays standards, but they're still great, often ground-breaking, games.

Sure is. You can download it, and many many other abandoned dos games from www.abandonia.com/index2.php.

You might want to download "DosBox" from them as well, it's a brilliant little DOS emulator. They've got all your favourite games from 10-15 years back. Excellent fun resource.

(EDIT: Oops, looks like the folks at Abandonia have had a problem with ESA a couple of days ago, and as a result, they've withdrawn permission for them to host any ESA protected games, including Populous II. Damn!! I was really looking forward to getting some more of those old quest games. Oh Well, Cé la Vie.)
