Dang, if I recorded half of the stuff I say when I talk to myself, there'd be no need for voice acting...

My friends and I got bored with out old D&D game, so we, er, pimped it out to go along with the Land.....

Nothing to say in particular, except that some of the posts on this thread are funny. :)

Hmmm ...

You see Manethrall Lithe depart, and her Cords have agreed to accompany you and the others across the Plains of Ra.
You:

A: Ask why they don't ride, since they have all those Ranyhim.
B: Explain to the Cords that the Lords rule the Plains of Ra.
C: Ask the Cords why anyone would be so dumb as to worship horses?
D: Demand a Ranhym mount immediately.
E: Go back into Morinmoss where it's quieter.
F: Continue with the group.

That gives me an idea. Take a leaf out of the KOTOR book, and set the game in the past with completely original characters, so the plots of the books are unaffected.

It's been awhile since I worked on this, but I think the zip here is the most current:

www.piggers.net/despisersdoom.zip

READ THE README CAREFULLY!

(hint: when you get inside Atiaran's home, click on the bed roll to sleep on it ;)

knights of the old repbublic...star wars game
But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.

Full of the heavens and time.

well D&D and the chronicles could be one and the same. Just think: in a battle the party finds a white gold ring. Later they enter a portal which takes them to the land. the story then unfolds from there.

I've never played knights of the old republic

Really though, the only way a game like this would work and be compelling would be in the new Morrowind engine (to be released Oblivion), single player action. Those of you who have played Morrowind might agree.
It was the fetid halitus of the most diseased mortality condensed to its essence and elevated to the transcendence of prophecy, promise, suzerain truth—the definitive commandment of darkness.

I'm not sure about using a single-player engine. Covenant's at his best when he's travelling with a group of people, so that he has someone to complain at.

Need i repeat myself and point out that a chronicles game can NOT involve Covenant. He's a pacifistic coward not a warrior. The game would have to be more like the Lord of the Rings: the third age where its the same time as the normal story with different characters.

omg, Lord Defile, now you've given away another one of my mod themes. Cut the chatter and just try it out. If I actually get some interest from my module, I may be convinced to continue it ;)

the mod can be downloaded here:

www.piggers.net/despisersdoom.zip

of course, you'll need to get Neverwinter Nights Platinum edition to run it.
