Like LoreMaster, I neither have or believe in credit cards, (despite their insistence at existing in spite of this).
Other than that, I certainly would hate to think that The Watch was in itself being a burden to anybody, and would hope that something could be done to allow those able to contribute.
Of course, once you've converted what I could spare into some meaningful currency, it probably only works out as pocket-change. Still, if it becomes necessary, I'm sure we'll be able to organise something like MM suggests above.
Think I'd hate to see any sort of hierarchy based on that though.

As a heads-up, there aren't any dire financial issues here
I would find myself in two minds about donating to any site for some of the reasons mentioned.
Of course, trying to administer the whole thing is probably a nightmare as well - so no fear folks, KW shall remain free forever.
Jay and Alynna feel that they wouldn't want anybody feeling the need to contribute either and I'm in agreement. Thanks for your thoughts and views though - they have been helpful

The server I host my own forums on has free memberships, but they limit the number of times a user can post to 10 posts a day on any forum on the server. So, you'll see a lot of posts where it appears the poster took notes going back a long way and drafted a reply to all of those at once. But, no one has any problems with a user doing that.
Subscriptions that include unlimited posts per day are sold for $12.00 US a year, and checks and money orders are accepted. For $1.00 US a month, quite a few have subscribed to the server.

I most certainly would donate.
Paypal may be a venue to go through. You can set up an account without a credit card and even without one, you can send an electronic check. Of course they do charge a small fee but for me it's worth it because I have protection both buying and selling my old books. Anyway, don't want to seem like a commercial for Paypal but I know it is easy to set up and use.

I would gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today!

you're more advanced than a cockroach,
have you ever tried explaining yourself
to one of them?

i've had this with actors before, on the set,
where they get upset about the [size of my]
trailer, and i'm always like...take my trailer,
cause... i'm from Kentucky
and that's not what we brag about.
