When I log into the watch, this Prillian thing pops up. I guess it's an IM tool of some sort. That's fine.
Trouble is, if you close the window, it logs you out. (IE 6.0)
This is probably related to the general problem I have seen with IE: when something launches a new window, and you close that window, all your temp cookies go away in the original window. I guess the KW login is a cookie? So when it's deleted, you are "logged out".
Could we (okay, not me ...) add a button to open Prillian if/when I want to use it?
Well, if I click on the 'X' image inside the window, it logged me out. When I just closed the window with the usual X button (Firefox 1.0.4) it didn't. And anyway - I went in the options and told it not to pop up any more.
Yes, the pop-up should be turned off, and a link/button to open it added (considering that now I've turned off the popup I've found it is impossible to open it again).

Haven't you been getting a popup when you visit the forum index? It's a new IM type thing for phpBB that Vain's just installed. He posted about it in the Elohimfest Anniversary thread in A&S.
I never got it when I accessed Kevins Watch at work today. The adminstrator of the server at work is the only one who can control what pop-ups we see.
However, it's coming up on my home computer. I tried to send a test IM to Edge, who happened to be on, but I never received a reply. So, I don't know if it's working or not.
It pops up whenever someone new logs in, which means that I can't visit KW at work anymore. It might pop up during a call and then I'd be in the shizzle.
You do not hear, and so you cannot be redeemed.
In the name of their ancient pride and humiliation, they had made commitments with no possible outcome except bereavement.
He knew only that they had never striven to reject the boundaries of themselves.
Wow, I haven't been paying close attention, so Prillian sort of surprised me.
I think I kind of like it, but wonder why there is no link to it or to controls for it (at least, I couldn't find any) on our forum preferences?
It would be kind of nice to be able to choose when to open it or not. Right now, it seems to re-open by itself, after awhile, and if you close it and want to re-open it, I couldn't figure out how, without just waiting for it to re-open itself.

Yes...Well, I was hoping he would see this thread and maybe answer my question.
And, Jay, that Jaytar is a riot.

I did that. It works.
Next question: suppose I want to IM someone. How do I get Prillian to start?
Well, yes, this is the problem. If it doesn't start automatically, like it did for me last night, there doesn't seem to be any way to get it to start - at least I don't see any option to click on at the top of the forum page, or anything in our forum preferences.
That's part of the question I have been asking.
If you check the option, when it is open, so that it won't pop up anymore, how do you get it to open again when you want it?
