okay, now linden couldnt stand the bad breth of the creator... how the hell could she stand it of covenant,
in tot, she had some "fun" with covenant abord the ship...
how could she stand his "lepro-beath?" i dont know, it just keeps poping in my head, then a second later something else in my head says that she really love him and that love REAL DOES GO A LONG WAY

LA had health sense because she was healthy in our world. Her nerves were not shot ala TC. If I remember correctly hurtloam also gave Hile Troy "vision" so it was powerful for physical ailments. I wonder if you put it on your brain could it heal mental problems????Just a thought LOL

I always though that LA's extreme health-sense was sort of her gift, but it's an interesting thought that any healthy person from our world might have had the same health-sense as Linden. TC a leper and HT blind, we never found out. Hmmm...
TC did indeed experience pain with the boots, but it seemed more through the boots than from them. They struck me as a conductor for the evil force LF/Drool were sending out to search for TC, that the pain was a side-effect rather than the actual intent. If TC had been walking on his socks, would it have had the same effect? I assume so...

In another thread we came 2 the conclusion that it was hurtloam 1st and foremost that gave TC his health sense and restored him physically, in that 2nd Chrons hurtloam was VERY difficult 2 find--if it was found at all--another reason TC may not have had healthsense in the 2nd Chrons is that he is physically immobilized and very close 2 death in our world.

Yes thats a very good point .. TC health sense came after the hurtloam I think .. at least his feeling and lack of impotence came then .. did the health sense just follow as a matter of consequence? maybe ..
I dont see LA as particularly healthy .. sure physically she was not ailing .. but mentally and emotionally she was completely shot .. at least imo ..
I dont think that her physical health in our world was why she experienced this health sense .. I prefer the .. 'it was a gift' rationale .. and maybe this is why TC took it so hard .. he didnt also get the gift in TWL .. and anyway .. the Sunbane and the corruption of the Land on TC's return .. resembled his own illness - leprosy .. that may be he just couldnt distinguish between health and ill under those circumstances ..
or I dunno .. it may be some other explanation all together

yes thats another good point .. and definitely could have had something to do with LA having the health sense ..
but TC was not skilled in this area from all we know .. and he was given the health sense and was upset he was deprived of it in TWL .. on his return to the Land .. so mmm .. I dunno ..

it's the other way round imho. she was a skilled and successful (?) doctor because she had a very strong health-sense; only in our world it manifests in a diferent manner than in the Landcaamora wrote:About Linden's health sense being a gift - possibly. But I recall getting the impression that LA was a very gifted and skilled doctor in this world. That was why her health sense was so strong.

That's a very good point. It never occured to me that her health-sense might just be the way her 'gift' or 'talent' or whatever manifests itself in the Land, and that medical skill is the way it manifests in our world.
As for TC having health-sense in the 1st Chrons, despite no medical expertise...TC's health-sense was, at it's very best, only equal to that of the inhabitants of the Land, whereas LA's sense seemed even more penetrating - beyond that which occurs naturally in the pre-Sunbane Land.
One thing that bugged me a bit when I read about TC and LA's *ahem* 'activities'
aboard the Giant vessel was: how did TC engage in such a 'passtime' with his much-vaunted impotence?................actually, forget it

yes very astute answer danlo .. and it seems to me that when ever TC was in the Land he was healthier and more able .. yeah sure it began with being annointed with hurtloam .. but it always seemed to be that way for him ..
just a thought ...

I wonder what he meant. When he came back from the land at the end of the first Chronicles he had been changed. He knew that leprosy wasn't the whole story. So was he also cured of his impotence? Maybe he just never got a chance, cause no women would go near him?"I haven't told you everything that old man said to me. On Haven Farm. He told me to Be true. But that wasn't all." After the passage of so much time, she still knew the words as if they had been incused on her brain. "He said, 'Ah my daughter, do not fear. You will not fail, however he may assail you.' " Metteing Covenant's gaze, she tried to give her eyes the clarity her voice lacked. " 'There is also love in the world.' "
For a moment, he remained motionless, absorbing the revelation. Then he lifted his half-hand toward her. His flesh gleamed in the sunshine which angled into the cabin from the open port. The wry lift at the corners of his mouth counterpoised the dark heat of his orbs as he said, "Can you believe it? I used to be impotent. Back when I thought leprosy was the whole story."
