what kind of child are you?

Post by duchess of malfi »

Monday's child is fair of face
Tuesday's child is full of grace
Wednesday's child is full of woe
Thursday's child has far to go
Friday's child is loving & giving
Saturday's child must work for a living
But the child that's born of the Sabbath Day is fair & wise & good all day

I am a Saturday child. I am doomed!! Image
My older son is a Monday child, and my younger is a Tuesday child. At least they are both fine.
Love as thou wilt.

Isn't it supposed to be 'fair and wise and good and gay'?

Monday, thus disproving the rhyme.

Friday's child here... :)

and because I'm 'loving and giving', I'm giving you a link where you can calculate the day of the week you were born on:

www.albion.edu/english/calendar/weekday.htm

(use 'new style' date)

- love, Edge. :D

Murrin: it used to be 'bonny and blythe and good and gay'... until the word 'gay' took on a new meaning.

Saturday
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Thanks for the link, Edge.

I'm a Monday's child. Fair of face? Hmm, it must have a metaphorical meaning, then...

Saturday, apparently. A useful link there, as I never cared enough to ask.

Right, back to work, then...

I am a Wednesday child - the poem doesn't fit me at all.

What does Birkman know?

I've changed drastically in stages, throughout my life. Friday wouldn't have fit me at all until the '90s.
