The GAP filmed!
Moderators: Cord Hurn, Cagliostro
Well, Angus isn't a tall man so I suppose Sinise could build up some fat over some muscle. Being an actor on a TV series would pretty much prohibit any real changing of appearance though.
Speaking of CSI, I reckon Marg Helgenberger would make a good Sorus, visually anyhow. I've always visualised Hashi as Edward Woodward with long, wispy hair and Hashi's trademark scratched horn-rims and labcoat.
Having seen the 51st State (although I don't think it was called that in the US) I can't help but imagine Meat Loaf as Holt after his performance as the Lizard guy. Totally OTT but perhaps that's what the part needs.
I'd love to see Paul Darrow (Avon from Blake's 7) in the Gap somewhere. Probably as Warden, but maybe Holt. He has such a fantastic voice and is totally wasted on bit parts in Die Another Day and Little Britain.
Finally I'm going to plug Cole Hauser as Nick again. I've seen him in three different roles and in each one he has perfectly portrayed a power-seeking individual who, whilst appearing slick on the outside, is a truly nasty piece of work. For that reason alone I can't think of anyone better, and his Southern drawl is just the cherry on the cake.

Q. Why do Communists drink herbal tea?
A. Because proper tea is theft.
A. Because proper tea is theft.
Yeah, Cole Hauser does smarmy well. He'd definately do.

Don't you think Colin Farrell makes an awesome Nick? And it was hard to find someone who looked like a younger version of John Malkovich, but Hayden Christensen works OK.

Ralph Fiennes
I recently watched Schindler's List with Ralph Fiennes and Liam Neeson. I really enjoyed his character (I gotta hand it to him, not everyone can shoot a Jew at random and keep a straight face). I agree, he would make a great candidate for any GAP character.
For anyone who hasn't seen Schindler's List I recommend it. It's about the holocaust during World War II.

I love Jude Law too.

One movie for all five books, or the standard 1 book = 1 movie? I'd say it's far too much to compress into one movie, however, I also don't think TRS would work too well as a stand-alone...
Somewhere in the middle, perhaps? I believe a miniseries was mentioned, though I'd love to see it on the big screen.

Oh, a change is coming, feel these doors now closing

I like that idea. Every SF/Fan book I read is anime-ted in my head. However, an animated or CGI series without a limit on length could really do it justice. Even using manga possibly.
