Gnomes

Post by Sunbaneglasses »

I have come to believe that items that I frequently lose are actually being taken by gnomes. They seem to have a habit of collecting guitar picks,cd's,pens, socks, and even the occasional large item of clothing such as my Auburn Tigers t-shirt-they even make visits to the building behind my house and raid my tools and fishing tackle. They have apparently put some sort of charm on my wife who thinks that I am just disorganized and lose these things.Am I alone?Although I have yet to catch the little buggers red handed I have found several clues(I must not type what I know-they may be watching).Does anyone else have issues with gnomes?

 Sure, but I call the Gremlins myself. Sometimes I put something down, only to have it completely vanish theinstant I turn my back.

Buggers are everywhere!

I have always assumed that the fault lay with invisible pot smokers who like to cause havoc.

Pot smoking does not make you invisible. Although it may make you forget where you put things. ;)

Did you ever watch the episode of Ali G where he interviews the drug expert, and talks about the friend who had some acid and flew down the road? Classic.

Aah yes, back when the series was still fresh and original and the marks innocent.

I loved the bit where he mentions that if the cop is paying that price, he's getting ripped off. :D

True, Gnomes are harmful and insidious but don't forget thier evil masters: the Mimes.

THEY are the true architects of all of humanities woe!

If you see a Mime you need to beat it into oblivion with an olive loaf.
But do it quickly before it traps you in a box!

If a tree falls in the woods and kills a mime, does anyone care?
If a mime talks about you behind your back, do your ears still burn?

Mimes will kill us all and if we don't see it we won't even know it.

What is the antipathy toward mimes? It seems like alot of people hate mimes. Why? Is it a conspiracy against this art-form? I like mimes personally. Studied it for a bit, and it's not as simple as it looks.

Nah, too "caricature-like" for my taste. Mimes now, that's an art-form. ;)

I can tolerate you smoking pot. I can tolerate you endorsing a form of anarchism as 'government'. Hell, I can even tolerate you having Star Wars dvds. But don't ever dis black minstrels!

There's a gnome tribe living in the woods behind my house, I swear it.

Let's get something straight though.

Gnomes: Many types, such as Garden, Forest, Barn, House, and Siberian. Only the Siberian, Barn, and House types bother humans, with the Siberian being the worst (stealing stuff, messing on the table legs, etc.) and the House the best (preventing fires, infestation, major falls, etc.).

Gremlins: NOT a form of GNOME! Gremlins are like the mechanics of the fairy world. Back in the day, some idiot took credit for their designs, so they retaliated by being technology nuisances. (Unscrewing things, flawing metal, chewing through wires, etc.)

Clowns, Mimes, and Black Minstrels: Completely human. Not every clown is It, you know. And, let me state again, THERE IS NO ANTI-MIME CAMPAIGN IN BOSNIA!!!

Ahem. Just thought I'd tell you.
