Thanks, my friends. The era of severe stress is over; I can walk away from a threatening house mate, find my own place and relax, now.

Loremaster,

Great news. :)

As for me, allergies are bothering me today. :( Classes start up in a week (I think ) so summer is, alas, ended.

In addition, I'm not feeling too optimistic in general.

I should really stop listening to Morrissey. But I can't.

Thank you, Michael.

As for Morrissey...let's just say I've listened to little else this summer. Literally. And he is a legend. (He's recording a new album, btw, I hope to see him in concert if he does a North American tour!)

I just got back from 5 1/2 hours in the ER. I walked into a big box full of stuff on my living room floor and broke and dislocated a toe on my right foot. I have a big dressing and surgical shoe on my foot and was told I will most likely need surgery. :(

In the meantime, no weight bearing - meaning I can't drive, work or dance. :x They discharged me with crutches.

And my toe hurts even though they gave me a Percocet before they sent me home with my hubby. :(

Ms. Mary, elevate that foot and put some ice on it. That will help!

As for me......blah! A patient of ours was in today. She is from Biloxi. Has a large family and has only heard from 2 of them. Among the missing is her daughter. Needless to say, she's pretty much a wreck and you just feel so damned helpless.

And, one of my co-workers is probably going to have to quit. She has further to drive than anyone else, is a single mother with 2 teenagers and just can't count on her child support. She has about a 50 mile per day round trip and doesn't see how can she afford the drive. Some of us have offered to help her with gas money.......I hate to see her leave.......
Be kind to your web-footed friends, for a duck may be somebody's mother.

Yeah, hang in there VS. Just think of the Munchkins singing "Short People" and laugh!

How do I feel today? I am PISSED OFF today. Today is one of those days when I want to separate myself completely from society. Today is one of those days where I want to be in a cabin in the mountains and stay there for the rest of my life, disowning society and living a Grizzly Adams existence.
Today I see once again that my fellow man is evil. (OK--so evil is a strong word, but I can't think of a better word now)

Today I want to loose the shackles of humanity and plunge into the depths of solitude.

I need a drink.

angry. angry that for five days our 'president' has twiddled his thumbs. angry that while news reporters could make it into NO, our federal goverment could not. angry that while there was looting , raping and shooting going on our leaders worried about vacations. angry that we got relief to the tsunami victims in two days, but are hoping that school buses can evacuate folks out of NO. i am very angry that our goverment just doesn't seem to give a $hit about the poor people in NO. angry that when a woman told our 'president' that her baby needed clothes, he told that the Salvation Army could get her some clothes. angry.

Pretty tired, a little overwhelmed with the start of school, kind of depressed at how little I am accomplishing with life. Besides that, I'm doing just great, heh.

Going to see if I can read some Runes now before I go to bed. I'll probably get through only 2 pages, if I'm lucky, like usual. If I'm not lucky, I'll spend the time rereading the 2 pages that I read last time... Heh. I shouldda bought the book on tape. But if I did that, I'd feel like I were cheating or something.-jay

It took me quite a while to figure out why people were telling me to hang in there. People do know that Farseer and I are two different people right? :?
You do not hear, and so you cannot be redeemed.

In the name of their ancient pride and humiliation, they had made commitments with no possible outcome except bereavement.

He knew only that they had never striven to reject the boundaries of themselves.

VS, there are far worse people to be mistaken for, if that's any consolation. :)
