I'm glad it made it there. :) I had found a used copy on Amazon and ordered it a couple of weeks ago -- and it was being shipped to you from Florida -- shortly before Katrina hit! :faint:

Danlo you should have let me known something; I've had a copy just sitting for awhile (yet to have a chance to read others yet!)

I was assuming you already had it! :D

Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman.
duke wrote:How many novels do you have that you havent read that you plan to?
I currently have only seven on my shelves to read - but there's at least ten I intend to buy, probably more like twenty, and I'll probably acquire them gradually before I even finish these seven.

Picked up a copy of Huxley's Brave New World yesterday.

Read it a couple of times before, but didn't own it. And this edition has a foreword written by Huxley 15 years after the original publication, where he details where he thinks he went wrong, what he'd do if he were to rewrite it (if he believed in rewriting) etc. Very interesting.

We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.

I ordered A Feast for Crows earlier this week. I also picked up The Wasp Factory by Iain Banks, because all the stuff I've heard about it seemed interesting.
I was about to order Anansi Boys, but then I saw pat5150's offer, so I'll wait a bit first.

Turns out the library syste here as two copies, both checked out, and I'm number three on the waiting list. The eight previous novels should help pass the time.

Terrific book -- Banks' first, and shows the versatality and the introspective writing that will become his MO. Not many could have written this book - especially as a first book.[/quote]

Just picked up A Feast for Crows by Martin. It was released in Australia today. We get the UK version. It was released in the UK on Monday morning, and it seems like the publishers just throw a few boxes of the book onto a plane, and 24 hours later it arrives in Melbourne. Given that we're 10 hours or so ahead of London , that makes it Wednesday morning for us. Anyways, cant wait to finish work and start reading. :D
