I think the idea that there will be a 'loaded' DVD issue of this movie later is correct. The one giveaway is that the recent release of the movie on DVD has only one pitful little extra feature.
Oh, yah, there will be another 'special edition' of this baby...

I have to agree with HLT here. Obviously, I got the dvd, but I'm game for getting the 'more Jessica" dvd, too.

Why? She sucks. She can't act. And that's being nice. Ok, some people think she's hot, and that's fine... but there's plenty of porn on the internet! She doesn't get naked (noooo, too big of a "star" for that), even though she plays a STRIPPER (who gets plenty naked in the graphic novel). And then there's the fact that SHE CAN'T ACT. Anybody that asks for more Alba deserves all the Keanus in the world.

If I thought she was pretty, I could probably overlook it. .
..
...
....No, no, I couldn't, but it would mitigate it somewhat.

Who cares if Jessica Alba can't act? She's one of the hottest chicks alive, in my book.

I'm only about halfway through the DVD - more later, but I'm really enjoying this film so far - much more so than I thought I would.

EDIT - finished it, and really like it. Dark, gritty, funny at times, lots of twists and turns.

I enjoyed the visual look of the film and glad I saw it but the one note theme of revenge diminishes any replay value. A good rental but not something worthy of purchase.

No - Jessica Alba alone is worth the purchase price of the DVD.

Jessica Alba's acting is as plastic as the DVD, so that makes a certain kind of sense.

But in ten years Alba won't look that hot (well, she might, but she'll be beyond the hot demographic, so for all intents and purposes, not hot), and nobody will remember her. Worst case scenario: Anna Nicole Smith. Best case scenario: Kari Wurher. Of course, she's yet to show the goods, so that might buy her an extra five years. *shrug*

Hepburn, on the other hand, will be remembered for centuries.

Tell you what, you take Alba, I'll take Jennifer Connely.

10 years?
My attention span for female actresses is about 10 months before I get bored.

The big boobed Jennifer or the reduced?

Kari who?

Jennifer Connelly...! Yah, what the heck happened to her. I remember when she accepted the Oscar for A Beautiful Mind. GOD, she looked terrible!!!! What is it with all these women thinking they need to be pencil thin to be beautiful! Jennifer looked MUCH better with CURVES! Give me a Salma Hyack or Monica Belluci --- a full-bodied woman any day. Not a stick!

ok, calm down usivius...
