I have been dealing with eratic boughts of hypertension for the last 5 years-I am only 30 and quite active for goodness sakes! When I first realized something was wrong,I went to the doctor and it was something like 180/110-I spent several years on the same med which controlled it somewhat (Benicar)-about a month ago I began to get flushed in the face, had ringing in the ears and several other common symptoms of your BP being up there(it was 160/98).My doctor changed my meds(lotrell) and at my checkup today I was 114/70-That made me feel GREAT!Because I worry about it a lot which only make it worse-so I feel great today.I have also been taking daily walks when time allows, riding my bike and meditaing.I just wanted to share this pesonal joy with all of you.

Cail--hang in there. I know it's rough. But we know you are equal to it. Peace.
Lorelei--my condolences. May you find peace in your heart.

Excerpt from Animal Songs Never Written
"Hey, dad," croaked the vulture, "what are you eating?"
"Carrion, my wayward son."
"Will there be pieces when you are done?"
Thank you all, once again. I'm calmer and soberer now.

Cail and Lorelei, my thoughts are with you both.

You do not hear, and so you cannot be redeemed.
In the name of their ancient pride and humiliation, they had made commitments with no possible outcome except bereavement.
He knew only that they had never striven to reject the boundaries of themselves.

well folks this may be bad. our county just announced mandatory evac for tomorrow or Thursday. i'll get details from my wife. and since we are on the south side of the railroad tracks, if a catagory 3 hits near here, we will flood. we will move what we can. but we would lose our appliances, furniture and such. we're moving the pics and my writing. but only have so much room. we don't own the house, so there's a chance we could be homeless as well. that's worst case scenerio. i pray that doesn't happen. trying to get in touch with work, they're a few miles more inland. i may end up packing my wife and dog up for her sister's house. (the one who just lost her son) and staying at work. damn.
