Not sure where to put this, but... I just installed the mouse gestures extension for Firefox. It freakin' rocks! You can open/close new tabs/windows, go back or forward, open multiple links in tabs, and more all by right clicking and making a couple gestures.
The answers one is pretty nifty, too. Just press alt and left click on a word and it brings up the definition, synonyms, wiki page, and several translations (including Hebrew!). Could only be better if it opened it in a new tab.
Ok, and the adblock, flashblock, and noscript are all good, too.

Can someone explain to me what makes Firefox so great? We've got it on our machines at work, and I don't care for it (example-when I type in the "quick reply" spot I can only use the mouse scroll button on what I'm typing. I have to click on the main page to scroll up to look at posts.).

The only problem I've really had with it is that images load slowly. Well, small bug when I upgraded to 1.5 that wouldn't allow me to download any new extensions or update old ones. I use the quick reply window exclusively, and I've never had the problem you describe.
But yeah, Firefox is more secure, especially with some of the extensions I mentioned previously. The other nice thing about it is the tabs that allow you to have multiple pages open without multiple windows (for example, I can have two tabs for KW in one window, and gmail in another).
And, of course, a lot of it is that it's not Microsoft.

Yeah, I actually do like the tabs. I guess I've gotta look into it more, 'cause I really don't like IE.

Another feature that elicited wows from the audience was a system that would allow the car to actually park itself. You simply pull up to a parking space and place the Intelligent Park Assist system into self-park mode. After that, all you have to do is keep your foot lightly on the brake pedal. The car will do the rest, automatically steering into the space for a perfect park each time.

to call it new would be over doing it! well, its new to me but i think its got through oooooohhh 30 or 40 owners before i took it. 
all my money seems to dissapear into my gf's pockets. to be fair she does spend most of it on our son, so i cant complain too much.
