Moldi's rain rot is going away. Joy! Snodtor still has some, but Moldi's was worse.

Not that any of you know what rain rot is, but it's nice to see these horses getting better, even though they're not mine. Just thought I'd share. :P

My 5 year old son Daniel has bronchitis and is quite miserable :( He just lays there and croaks out the occasional word :( He is normally full of life and full speed ahead. He does not even retaliate when his little bro Steve pesters him,he just asks Ashley or I to make him leave him alone.I have spent a large part of the day holding him,and trying to make him feel better after coughing spells,he has coughed so much that he is quite sore. :( He is on an antibiotic, cough syrup, and motrin for fever and aches.I don't like it when my little guys are sick!

Poor little guy!

I know, I always wish I could be sick or hurt in the place of my kids, too. :( :( :(

I am busy watching my cats watching the birds at the feeders right out side the window. I hung two finch feeders out there, and at any given time, we'll have 8-10 (sometimes more) little darty finches at the feeders. It provides no end of entertainment for the cats, who make the most interesting sounds. The biggest cat, Tigger, makes a bass "ick ick" sort of noise. The medium cat, Bud, has a middle ranged voice for his noises. And the little cat, Matty, has a mugh higher "ick ick" then the other two. It's like listening to a feline male chorus.

I'm a bit tired and blue today. Work has been nuts lately, and the winter cloudbane has covered the Land... :( I'm about to go grocery shopping, and maybe I will go to the book store to do a bit of Christmas shopping for my kids...
Love as thou wilt.

Had a lovely Thanksgiving/Christmas in Blowing Rock, North Carolina with my son, Ben, his wife, Pam and her parents, Bob and Dottie.

Blowing Rock was beautiful. It was cold, there was snow on the ground and snow falling from the sky. Dottie and I had a great time shopping, buying toys for the future baby McCoy (their first also, this is gonna be one spoiled kid!!) Great food and wonderful, precious family time. Then Ben left for Iraq.

Been a little down! Tonight, watching CNN, the little ticker at the bottom...."soldier killed in Iraq"......my stomach lurched, my heart started pounding.....I don't know how I can go through this again which is totally ridiculous since I don't really have a choice. ARRRRRRGH! Anyway, any prayers, good vibes or such anyone can give for Staff Sargeant Benjamin McCoy would be deeply and highly appreciated.

(Psst, HLT, its Polyp! And good luck on your surgery)

Frustrated. A couple of my friends broke up, and now everybody's telling me I need to be the mediator in getting everybody to play nice and still be friends. Why is this my problem? If I saw them all the time, I would understand, but I really don't think I'm in a position to be helping anyone with this when I don't know the whole story. I don't think I know how to help them. *sigh* Well, off I go. What I'm really afraid of is that I'm gonna screw up and make things worse. How do you explain to someone why someone else doesn't love them anymore? Especially when you're not sure if they ever did in the first place?

Sorry to hear about that, A. Don't put too much pressure on yourself, though. Like you said, you really aren't in a position to do very much about it. You need to make sure your friends know that. Just be honest and say that you don't know how to help them, since you don't know much about the situation. If they're reasonable friends at all, they'll understand. But they can't ask you to do more than that.

This is between the two of them. It's their relationship. If they want to work it out and be friends, that's up to them. All you can be is a friend and offer to hear their problems. There's not much more you can do besides that. So don't be afraid that you could make things worse. You don't have any responcibility for how the two of them spend their lives. You can't make things worse for them. They're responcible for what happens.

Everyone has a hard enough time trying to figure out what to do with their own lives. They can't expect you to solve their problems as well.

Like I said, I think the best thing you can do is just be a friend to both of them and hear what they have to say. Good luck, I hope it goes well for everyone.-jay

Thanks, guys. I should never have said "I understand why..." Now I'm like everybody's magic eight ball (or their spy - I haven't figured out which).

I had polyps removed from my sinus' on Tues.
It was supposed to be a 1 1/ hour day surgery with an hour recovery.
But like everything medical with me it was 2 hours long and my recovery was 8 hours!
The out patient clinic I was having the procedure at closed at 5PM so I was taken by ambulance to the main hospital .5 miles away. Can't wait to see how much that little trip costs.
Now I've got a small pharmancy on my kitchen counter and something called "packing" up into my sinus' and nasal cavity.
Blood is draining into a gauze pad that I have wrapped around my nose.
I need to squirt a saline solution up there a few hours a day and after I do so salty dried blood flows down into my mouth.
I sleep and sit in an old recliner all day and night to keep my head up so my nose can drain.
I'm also an insulin dependant diabetic and the steroids and antibiotics I'm on are playing havok with my blood sugar control.
Oh and on the day of my surgery a critical server, that I'm responsible for, at my work crashed and has been down since.
I suspect that my boss is leaving it for me to fix when I get back but I was planning on taking a few more days off to recover if needed.

Other than that I'm doing great.

Sounds like fun, Sarge. What is "Blue Santa"? (Were you wearing a Smurf outfit?) Do police in your area not use the traditional red-clad Santa?

ROTFLMAO!!!

Here's 45% of the credit from Alynna. :D I'm keeping the 5% for so emphatically supporting your statement, and thus lending it some much needed credibility. ;)
