Well you know they wrestled hard, just to please the spectators, well knowing that they are deities who in normal circumstances of things would not stoop to such "sports" of ill-reputes, fit for the mortal hoi-polloi.
And well-knowing that if they need disciples and priests and sacrifices, they have to pander to the common and low understanding of Greek and Norse religions.
