You got logged out, (if you were logged in) and this forum allows guest posting for now, for people with log-in issues.

I've updated to kornbluth.freenode.net

As for it popping up in a little window, I'm not too sure how to make this version do that. As far as I understand, it's the same mod as before. I'll need to see what can be done to make it pop up into an independant window.

What? More power? Excellent. ;)

Cheers Vain. :)

I still get
Connecting...
Logging in...
-- *** Looking up your hostname...
-- *** Checking ident
-- *** Found your hostname
-- *** Got ident response
Error : Closing Link: 127.0.0.1 (Invalid username )
Disconnected from kornbluth.freenode.net

Or if I'm not logged in:
Connecting...
Logging in...
-- *** Looking up your hostname...
-- *** Found your hostname, welcome back
-- *** Checking ident
-- *** Got ident response
Anonymous Erroneous Nickname
Error : Closing Link: 127.0.0.1 (Connection Timed Out)
Disconnected from kornbluth.freenode.net

No big deal for me, since I can at least access this server by mIRC. Don't know if others are having the same problem, though.

Heh. Strangely, if I have the java windows up, it causes the same problem with mIRC.

"Read posts since your last visit" has disappeared?!?!?!

If it was considered unnecessary ... let me know by who, so I can rant at them for several hours until they give in.

I believe it may be a consequence of the new mod. Because of the mod, the markers don't just show posts since last visit - they show all unread posts, which is a bit of a bastard if you're like me and can't stand to see orange markers everywhere even after you've gone away then come back.

Yeah, I noticed that today too.

Just mark all posts as read, that'll get rid off them. I rely on that new mod, 'cause otherwise, because of the log-in problems I'm having, the board thinks I leave every time I change pages. So without it, I can't see where there are new posts. And since my last visit is always 30 seconds earlier...

Hopefully they can bring that link back for you WayFriend, but I'll fight for the "unread Posts" mod. :D

Well, if "unread posts" means "posts I haven't read", then I agree, that's a better thing to have. And you're right, if you get kicked out, it screws up your whole "since last login" thing, so this would be better.

I was afraid that "unread posts" meant "posts no one has read". After all, it's in the same spot where "posts with no replies", and then "posts so crappy that they need a massive insult" etc. were. So I misinterpreted the meaning.

Now all I need to do is find the "mark all posts read" button ...

I saw that one, but it's darn tedious doing that in every forum at the end of every visit.
Murrin wrote:bottom left on index.
Not on mine. Are you sure it's back? All I get is ... oh, now I see it, it's squeezed in there below the index and above the Who Is Online. I must have overlooked that eight times.

I am happy. Thanks.
