Sore.
I'm taking a cruise in April (first time I've taken off more than two consecutive days in almost 6 years), so I've decided I need to vanquish my gut. I work out regularly, and I'm relatively active, but between bad genes and my love of beer, I'm carrying a spare tire. It's super frustrating, since everything else is in shape.
Soooo, I've decided to attack my abs. Every other day I do 3 ab exercises, 4 sets each, and 200 decline sit-ups, alternating every 20 between straight and alternating knee. Then I'm hitting the treadmill for as much fat-burning cardio as I can stand.
So far, I've got a rock-hard beer gut....Hopefully the fat starts disappearing soon.

I'm fapping cold.
It's around -30F here and everytime I go outside for the tiniest bit, I come in and my chest hurts and my hands are so cold I can't type properly.
At the top of the ski mountain I go to it was -68 with the wind chill. Why would anyone possibly want to go up there when it's like that?
Somewhere in the state, the weather channel man said it was -54 without the wind chill.
Auuuughhhh.

Anything below minus twenty is horrid. (That would be surface temp, not wind chill - the wind chill makes temps like that feel even worse). One night it was colder than that as I was driving home. When it gets that cold you can't ever get your car warm enough...when I got home my wrist really hurt. When I looked at it, there was a burn all the around it. My metal watch band had gotten so cold in the car that it had burned my skin.
I do not even want to imagine what Clare's mountain top would feel like today.

I feel hungry and will prolly go get some Mexican or Chinese in the next thirty minutes.
I've done a butt-load of work, from studying Am. History until my eyes popped out and then after my eyes fell out I finished my Brit History midterm. E-mailed it to the professor. Tomorrow begins my essay on Richardson's Pamela. Everything's coming together. Haven't got the grade back on the Am. Lit test, but the professor says he'll be lenient, as we only had an hour to do it. Phew.

Had a bad allergic reaction to something late last night, and it lasted until this morning. However, I am feeling great because I am writing.

I've been procrastinating for most of the day...and dreaming up great things I would do if only I weren't so lazy. But I did take my son to the park (he loves the swings) and then we went down to the beach where me made me pick him up so we could *both* chase seagulls.

Me, I'm just meh. Heh. I hope this week is better. Or at least more productive. I think my master's research is going well, but it's just so hard to tell sometimes when something this large is due in May.
And on top of that, I need to run around the university trying to make sure that I actually *graduate* by the summer, and make sure the university doesn't take the opportunity to screw me one more time before I leave this place. Because I already know that the university loves screwing me. It's what it does best. Heh. Blah. I hate university administration.
Oh yeah, and top of all of that I need to make sure I have some sort of transition into whatever school I attend in the fall.
I have this feeling that I have a billion things over the next six months that have to fit together like a glove in order to work, and that scares me. Heh...-jay

Well, after another morning of problems with software that doesn't work...I gave up trying to work and decided to spend some time with Son of Seareach (aka SOS). There are days I feel like I don't spend enough time with him and it gets me down. So we went out in the garden and SOS played with a hoze in the dirt and ended up making himself a lot of mud. He also pulled up some carrots, and we made some rows to plant potatoes. He had a wonderful time getting very muddy and very wet, and I had a wonderful time watching him. He showed me "worms" and a "stick" and even an "echidna" which was definitely NOT in our garden, but at least he has a wonderful imagination.
Tonight he drew pictures in chalk on our balcony (including pictures of a seagull, a marble and a horse...they all looked like circles to me but he was chuffed), and then I blew bubbles for him to chase. He had breakfast cereal for dinner, and after his bath discovered he had a nipple (which he calls a "neeple").
....wish more days were like this.
