I guess my first and second questions would be when was the last time they drew blood levels for your meds, and were the results good? :?

I hope you feel better; it certainly sounds as if you have been through the ringer the last few months with your health.

Hm, that's no good, LM. Hope things get better for you. Take care of yourself.

Well, I just got back from spending a few days down at a potential PhD university. The professor who I'd be working with (and paying for my education, thus owning my soul...heh.) seems nice and is working on some interesting stuff. He does both field work and computer modeling, which are the two things I want to get involved with. Sounds like they have a lot of interest in bringing me into their program, so it's nice to feel needed. Still haven't heard back from any other schools, though, so I can't make any real decision right now. But right now, the school looks great, and I would probably have a lot of fun there for however many years it takes me to finish my PhD.

Heh, ok, secretly, I just want to get my PhD so I can have people call me "Dr. J". Heh. ;)

And yeah, wherever I go to school in the fall, I'll going to force myself to try out my new "Get Out And Meet New People And Socialize, Dammit" (GOAMNPASD) program. (Preferably female people, heh.) It's currently just a theory, but my initial computer models are hopeful. Heh.

Yeah, I need to get out more. Heh.-jay

:LOLS: You'll be right Jay!

Lore, sorry that you've been so unwell! |G

And Duchess, can't believe you spent the last day of your long weekend doing cleaning...although perhaps it was necessary! :D

And how am I today? I've been dealing with nausea (which I've had for several days...and which I am hoping is caused by some kind of germ that Son of Seareach brought home with him from some other little germy kid! ;) ) but other than that I'm fine-and-dandy. Been working hard (business has been belting away the last couple of days). Son of Seareach came home from Playgroup today with a necklace he'd made me out of string and macaroni (wacko!)...actually, he was so chuffed with it--had a big grin on his face as he handed it to me. I've also been busy with another "project" which is coming to an end...but I can't tell coz it's a secret.

Life is good!

Beware the temptation! Resist the urge to spend three years in Virginia! Resist, I tell you! (Well, unless they give you a horse. ;) )

Jay, perhaps you should try Northwestern. :) When my son toured their engineering school, we found out that Northwestern has the highest percentage of female students of any major engineering school in the US.

Things are going well. :) My kids will be going to watch the state wrestling team championships with their team mates and coaches. They will be gone for two nights this weekend. If you guys don't see me for a couple of days this weekend, know that I will be both exhausted and very happy. But that won't happen until after work on Thursday.
Love as thou wilt.

And I'm just finding this out now...WHY???

;)

Heh, very interesting, though. I'd probably have to wait until next year to apply, though. Maybe I'll stretch my master's thesis out for one more year...hm... :!:

I'm just sort of killing time right now...I made sure to get all of my work done early tonight. We're supposed to have many hours of freezing rain tonight, so if the roads start to get bad I will use some vacation time and go home early. :)

So far there is no freezing rain...I am hoping it will hold off until I get home about three hours from now. :)

Feeling very good. Have done some great writing - it's flowing more naturally, and the story is really moving along.

haha, love that emoticon Jay. :D

And congrats Loremaster... I've been reediting my prologue... now all I need is the internet at home (I'll be getting it soon) and Cho to come online so she can proof read it. :D

Be warned though, loads of people die. ;)

Up to my armpits in work today (which is why I'm posting here!). Had the most wonderful nights sleep last nigh--slept through the whole night--and woke up at 9.30am to find that Son of Seareach was *still* asleep. And on top of that I'm not feeling sick this morning so I'm *really* happy!

I'm in such a good mood I've had my music cranked up for the last two hours and I've got a headache from it but WHO CARES!

Happy! Happy! Happy Seareach!

Was working on an essay for Brit. History yesterday. In the middle of it, got an e-mail from my professor asking for me to expand on my midterm. He told me "here's the answers I want you to expand on," but he failed to indicate WHICH ONES.

I questioned him about it the next day in his office, and he said, "Oh, just expand all of them." Argh....finally, got it finished and it cut deep into my reading assignments tonight and my hope of finishing that damned essay anytime soon. Damn you, taskmasters!!

Anyway, now I just finished it. So I'm feeling relieved. Maybe I can get in one chapter of Wuthering Heights before sleep takes me. Here goes!
