Farewell Stanislaw Lem

Post by Loredoctor »

The author of Solaris has passed away at the age of 83. A great writer and critic. You will be missed.

Lem!!! what a great storyteller!!! and angels sing thee...

have you ever tried explaining yourself
to one of them?

i've had this with actors before, on the set,
where they get upset about the [size of my]
trailer, and i'm always like...take my trailer,
cause... i'm from Kentucky
and that's not what we brag about.

This is a test. My messages have been going into limbo.

Okay, seems to be working.

I just wanted to say that I've read two of Lem's novels, The Futurological Congress and The Investigation. Both pretty good, but not great. Perhaps something was lost in translation. :?:

Have always enjoyed his short stories, don't think I've read a novel by him.
