THE DEMANDS OF THE TERRY BROOKS HACK TEAM (April Fools 2006)

Post by kevinswatch »

Greetings, infidel fans of Donaldson! As you can see, the Terry Brooks Hack Team is in TOTAL CONTROL of your pitiful forum! We have hacked the account of your administrator, and have transformed this forum to match our will. The author of the great Sword of Truth series shall not be denied his glory nary a second longer!

Our demands are simple:

1) All members of Kevin's Watch must renounce their fandom of the hack writer Donaldson and proclaim that Terry Brooks is their favorite author ever.

2) Every man, woman and child must devote 10 hours every week to Terry Brooks worship, and spend 20 hours every week contributing to the construction of the 200 foot tall Terry Brooks statue in Montana.

3) Um...we want a million dollars. Yeah. That sounds sweet.

4) Oh, and maybe some fudge pops.

OUR VICTORY IS ASSURED! HA HA HA!

(Wait...what do you mean everyone already knows it's a joke? They aren't fooled at all? This whole post looks idiotic? How come you didn't tell me??? Sheesh, now I just look stupid. Well...this is awkward...)

Heh, ok. I hope you all enjoyed the little April Fools joke we did this year. Special thanks to Alynna, who actually *knows* something about Terry Brooks' books. She's the one who changed all of the forum titles and had the word censors do all of the Terry Brooks themed stuff. Heh, I sure wouldn't have known what to change everything to. And thanks to Vain, for being cool with the idea.

So yeah, I'll get to work on changing everything back. I hope I remember what I did. 8O Heh. I think Alynna will have to change back a lot of the forum names, since I don't remember what they used to be, heh.

Happy April 1st, everyone. ;) :P -jay

Geez, man, you could've just written the forum names down with pencil and paper -- y'know, those old-fashioned things? :P

Honestly, I wasn't even thinking about the day. I just saw that everything had been "hacked" and clicked away. (I even changed my e-mail account's password for good measure...)

Yeah, just didn't log in, and obviously was totally duped by this.

I Didn't even register the name Terry Brooks - doh.

I did have an irrational need to swing this Terry Brooks Hack Team from the gallows though.

Isn't that Terry Goodkind?

:shifty:

Not that I'd know anything about that.

I'll be honest, I thought it was kinda lame. But there you have it, It wasn't supposed to be a serious joke anyways. You could pretty much tell it was not a serious joke from the start.
