Well you do seem to rile a lot of people up here... but I think I just go with the crowd to be honest. "Clique", one might say. :P ;)

You've done no actual harm to me though. In fact I have defended your excessive posting before (Only your posting) because I was once the same.

And something dAN said springs to my mind - modship might settle you down - as it did several other members, and me.

Other mods might not agree, indeed, I expect to be soundly torn apart be saying this. :P

I still say 'no' to a comic forum.

Most say yes. :)

I think it's a good idea - though I wouldn't visit it myself.

Nor would I, but two or three active threads on comics does not make a forum.

Does with the Library - a lot of the Waymeet, and even some of the Collective. Hell, it does with some of SRD's forums.

And I have been against specific forums as well, I might add. As I have posted many times.

I'll say this straight Sgt - I doubt you will be made mod - There is far too much arguing over the matter. People here are upset with you. They won't say it straight - but they feel uncomfortable with you being a mod. Despite the fact you have stopped some of what winds them up... reputation... sticks around here. They won't forget. As I have learnt to my cost. Not moaning, I did things, and they earned me a due bad rep; and it's stuck.

Don't think I'm attacking you, I'm not. I'm being straight with you. I don't think it will happen.

But you never know. *shrug* it did with me.

revan: i don't need the mod. and fer gosh sakes its a public forum, if they have a problem with my posting ignore it or get me banned. if someone wants to pm me and tell me which part everyone has a problem with? the meltdown? i apologized and if folks can't get by that, sorry. i'll gather the stones for everyone to toss through their glass houses. other than that i quit mallorys, excluding two games. to be honest, if everyone were a bit more honest with me i could either change what bothers them or come to some middle ground.

thanks.

While we are at it, I suggest deleting the Anne Mcaffrey forum. It hasn't been posted in for nearly a year, there are only 14 topics - 130 replies, and its main visitor/poster seems to be Turiya. :P

EDIT: Sarge, I don't have a problem with you. :)

You can't do that, Spring! T Foul would destroy you.... if she comes back.

dAN, Revan, Atomic, etc have posted a lot but they have been here longer. Sgt has two accounts and combined the post count together gives him the about 13000 posts, I think. You had the Dennis account, managed to make 4000 posts faster then anyone, got into a fight in the Tank and started to edit out your posts, left the watch and then came back and made over 9000 posts faster then any watch member. Well, that is what I see.

I think a comic forum would be cool.

I also don't see what difference the frequency of use makes. If nobody posted in it for a year, but I wanted to say something about a new comic, I'd know where to post it. What's the problem with a low-activity forum? If they aren't a problem from Vain's webmaster pov, they certainly aren't a problem from mine.

Maybe there's a way to have the forums behave the way the threads within a forum currently behave. Frequently used forums could float to the top of the main page, and the low-freq ones could sink to the bottom. That way somebody looking for an old thing would still be able to find it, but the majority of people could find the ones they're looking for without having to look through a dozen inactive forums.

Queeaqueg, you can't have a go at Sgt for his post count being high - not without having a go at me, dAN and TOM at the same time. we posted a hell of a lot in Mallory's back in the day.

And as for getting into fights - well I have done that as well - a lot. An example of this is my fighting/bantering with dAN.

And Sgt has stopped posting excessively in Mallory's - what's in the past is in the past.

Since Mallory's was created, I've been trying to figure out why people get so upset about anyone making a lot of posts there. It's completely beyond my ability to understand. We have a forum that is designed for silly, fun games, with games that are invented so posts can be very short and easy. Then people are upset that someone goes there and makes lots of short, easy posts that contain no real substance.

What am I missing???? :!:
