Too Much Chianti (1979)

Post by danlo »

...loads of fun Mum...I don't think I've posted it before, but...

longhair flying
soft snow falls all around me
stomach crying
from lack of food and too much Chianti

had me figured for a wino?
yeah!? well...
had YOU figured for a flake

the
the scientists are all to blame
for
for atom bombs and acid rain

love is a placebo
in this drugstore game
and all the children are insane

The Bill of Rights is not found in the Bible
call me a wino, will ya?
Hah!...I'll sue you for libel

I
I live in a house full of flakes
and
and can't handle this crap-ass molasses when I awake!

no, no

so all be warned of rain and the bombs
and certian sojourner of hyperspace
passing himself off as: a poet
named Tom
fall far and well Pilots!

Nice Danlo. More like a song than a poem I guess. and is that a line from the Doors in there? ;)

Yes this always felt like a song and yes the Doors line is in there on purpose (it's credited in the MS). 8)
fall far and well Pilots!
