I am very impatient... I have a day and 1/4 of high school left and I just want to be DONE with that hellhole. It's so weird to think about... It feels as if I've spent my whole life there and I'll be there forever...

I'm going to miss a few people, but actually, most of the happiness derived from graduating will be knowing that I never have to see the majority of those people again.

(Ok... so maybe it didn't suck that bad, but I am sooo ready to be done!)

My son is ready to be done, too. He will also be done with high school this week. They have some complicated formula that involves attendance records and GPA and let seniors be done on early on that basis. Some of them (discipline problems, poor grades, etc) won't be able to get done until the second week in June with the rest of the kids.

He's ready. The cops came out to the high school three times last week - once because a guy pushed his girlfriend into a wall really hard, once on a big pot bust complete with drug dogs, and once for a fight. My son says he has had enough, and would rather just work until college starts (he's been a halftime student since he took his AP tests and he's working a ton of hours right now to increase his "pizza at college fund".)

Dennis, I work with a couple of awful people, too. That's what makes work stressful - I actually like my job and really like most of the people there. But these couple of people just make things difficult at times.
Love as thou wilt.

i feel your pain. this person goes out of their way to make everyone miserable. they are widowed and the kids moved out. so work is all they have left. (direct quote) and they feel that by stirring shit they are keeping the inmates on their toes. we have had it out a few times. the person would not talk to me once for a couple of months. wednesday will be the only day to confront this person. but problems have already been caused by this person. i just want to get my day done. i have better concerns than whatever idiotic stuff this person has on their mind.

feels good to vent. :)

I'm with Claire and duchess' son. I couldn't wait to get out of highschool. I hated it passionately. We've only had a couple reunions, and I wasn't remotely tempted to go.

I did, too. :) I was foolish enough to allow a couple of people to talk me into going to the twentieth reunion. What a rotten experience. The girls who were mean and bitchy in high school grew up to be women who were even meaner, cattier, and bitchier, and they attended in full force, and the nice people who I wanted to see did not come at all. :? I won't make that mistake again. :) 8)

Ah well, live and learn.

My son is through with school now, other than picking up his cap and gown, the class honors dinner, and the graduation itself. He is taking the day off from work, and playing video games and reading. 8)

We are having a peaceful day at home. 8)

One more night of work, and then I will be free.

I was indifferent to school and university. Never been to a reunion either. The only people I wanted to keep in contact with, I did, and do to this day. The rest of them, I couldn't care less about really. *shrug*

Melbourne! We could all go shopping afterwards, then picket the ABC TV offices with placards saying "Einstein My Arse"!

Please say MELBOURNE! And then I can come! I suggest a "fest" at Wilsons Prom...a three day or something fest! The Prom's beautiful, and we'd all have a ball! If it's anywhere else in Oz I probably wouldn't be able to come.

And, keeping it relevant: I've been good. Tired. Overworked, underpaid. But that's life eh!
