Wouldn't it be interesting if Karen returns?

Post by danlo »

I was foiled when I researched my theory that Sandy Eastwall might be the little girl that TC rescues from snakebite in TPTP...no her name is clearly Karen (unless everybody since then calls her Sandy). It seemed to me, at the time that age-wise Sara or Sandy might have made sense. Wouldn't make any sense if it were Sara.
Spoiler
...as we know what Roger did to her...
I still think it would be very interesting if Karen's character somehow returns in the Final Chronicles. In fact it may be possible that Karen's family moved away...and, here's the clincher: maybe she somehow contracted leprosy (showing up 5 or ten years later)! Well, just think about it anyway. I mean maybe we assume the poison burned away any possible contagion...but remember Covenant's mouth was bleeding fairly profusely when he sucked it out. Leprosy is more contagious in children... :?

This sort of goes along with Nerdanel's Land of Lepers theories that involve Linden and Joan...and Finn's Joan the Leper...

 You sound like Nerdanel Danlo. ;)

Still, I must admit that it would make a nice...circularity...if she did come back somehow.

Danlo, weren't the Little girl's (Karen's) family just on vaation?
Or did they live in the area?
I thought you were a ripe grape
a cabernet sauvignon
a bottle in the cellar
the kind you keep for a really long time

I thought they were on holiday there aswell.
But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.

Full of the heavens and time.

The were camping, "...Dave has Good Friday off, and we decided to camp out." Doesn't prove they didn't live in the town...at the most a days drive away (if, for instance their "town" is in New Jersey they'd never be seen from again)
