Arrgh, all you overachievers are giving me a massive inferiority complex. Can't a slacker read a thread in peace, free from guilt?

er...congrats, dlb and variol son.

The anxiety effects haven't really kicked in, but the other night I was in my room worrying over nothing, but was not on that drug. It might have been the effects of the other medication.

Yeah - or will for a time. The one I have just started - Keppra - has less side effects, but still produces drowsiness and anxiety. Though to what extent remains to be seen.

Congrats to the achievers, commiserations to the people having a bad day. Lore, I can relate to the meds situation - my doc informed me on Friday that I gotta start on the thyroxine - low dose for starters, he's having to tweak my thyroid hormone levels, and I don't know if it's a byproduct, but I'm feeling a bit spacey and zomboidal at the moment too... 8O

another blood test for July... ...for a person who hates needles, this is starting to piss me off seriously!

Not that any of this has detracted from me celebrating my 1,000th post here!! Check out my new custom title! *SNICKERS*

Well done, Luke! :D

One last night here at work before my vacation starts. <sighs>

I keep telling myself that this time two nights from now I will be sitting in Grant Park in Chicago listening to the Chicago Blues Fest.

This time three nights from now I will be watching the world champion White Sox playing at Komisky Park (I refuse to call it by that dopey new corporate name  ).

This time four nights from now I will be relaxing in Madison, Wisonsin - and so it goes from there for over a week with stops in the Dells and more time spent in Chicago. 8)

But unfortunately I have to get through the rest of this one last night first.Image

I feel empty. Aaron and I broke up. It was mutual, but a little more of my doing. I haven't told any of my friends yet because even I can't believe it.

It's a good day because my daughter is graduating from 5th grade today.

It's a bad day because I'm starting an agressive round of steroids and antibiotics....No booze and I've got to stay out of the sun for two weeks, plus all the lovely side effects of the steroids.

Whoo Hoo......

Lore- Hope you get adjusted to medication soon.

Elfgirl - I've been on thyroid hormones for 5 years now...it takes a while for them to kick in but they should improve your life drastically.

Cail - Ack! I will do all I can to drink all the booze you can't. I sacrifice my liver for you bro. (Oh yeah, get better!)

Lucimay - Yep I have a brother, its just he wasn't at the house with me at the time...we'll be there together this weekend.

Claire - *hugs* I reccomend baths and a reasonable allotment of chocolate.

VS- Woohoo!

Esmer - Ack! Are you going to be able to get your credit repaired without a bunch of fuss?

Sorry if I missed anyone - still working on my first cup of coffee....

Hmm. I'm sorry you broke up with Aaron, and even more sorry you don't consider us your friends? Anyway, all your relationships are stepping stones; learn what you can from them, because you want the mistakes out of the way before you get married. And yes, I wished I had followed my own advise.
